Can't really tell if this was from a real tree but is very close-- seems to be a very thin laminate section on the surface. There were spots that had lacquered over holes/spots during manufacturing-- mostly on lower slab. Sprayed both slabs with water-based additional protection, but it drew attention/accented the lacquered areas that were applied by factory to cover up spots, but these were isolated on the lower slab mostly. Overall, the table has a nice look, but the surface quality may not be high quuality. Read more
