Lift-top mechanism works great! I’m pleasantly surprised and impressed with its design and build - it’s stable enough when we lift it to us as a computer table or just to serve coffee. The storage is roomy, each seems to hold a queen/full sized fleece throw. Assembly was fairly straightforward and didn’t take long. The walnut color is fairly accurate to the pictures, but if you have hardwood floors, you might want something different as this seems to blend it and make things seem a tad dated. Read more

I love it BUT my partner / loyal servant HATED putting it together while I was at work. In fact, the mention of buying another one might as well have been nails on a chalk board. Stern no. It's sturdy. I do really like it. *I* think it was worth three hours putting together. (He may have been exaggerating. I can't say for sure as I was not witness to the slew of cuss words this beautiful table may have invoked.) It doesn't wobble. It's really functional. I love the storage and the cute little space for some decor. It could also be used as a small book shelf, which is what I bought it for. It's bigger than I expected, so great value. It arrived during the day when hubby was not at home so I successfully installed it without any help. The instruction is straightforward to follow along and all the accessories are labeled therefore easy to find and put together.
