A short while ago I finished setting up my ROVE R2-4K PRO in my family room using the 110v outlet and my iPhone USB charger. I roamed around my house videoing my family for about 5 minutes and the video was crystal clear, tomorrow I'll set it up in my car. Instructions were clear and detailed, there were even some technical terms explained. Setup was easy; updating the firmware, formatting the SD card, even changing several default settings on my iPhone after I setup WIFI. While videoing around the house, I also watched it live on my iPhone. I used the ROVE Ultimate microSD 256gb card. I've also bought the ROVE CPL filter and will install that when I put the dashcam in the car. So although I haven't yet used the dashcam in the car, I can tell you that the instructions were excellent and installation and customization were easy. Also, video taping throughout my house while watching the videoing real-time on my iPhone and replaying videos on my iPhone afterwards, gives me confidence that this dashcam will work equally as good in my car. Not only is this easy to install and setup, but it will most defiantly save your butt if you get pulled over or in an accident, Highly recommend getting 400+ gb card as well. Captures pictures very well! Best bang for your buck. Read more
Bought this one to replace the very inexpensive Vantrue N1 Pro I’ve had for a while. Honestly the video recording is the same to me, no better than the Vantrue and no worse. About the only improvement is GPS with speed built in and access to the camera via the app (when you are close to/in the vehicle it’s mounted in). To get a real upgrade over this or the Vantrue N1/N2 you have to jump into a way higher price bracket, like $300+ but for the price it is a good dashcam. Read more

It was a straight forward easy to set up camera. Also ready to use right out of the box, if you’re not interested in all the extras. It has a lot to offer for a little camera, that may save you legal situations or increase on insurance. I may buy a second for my wife’s truck! I've purchased several of these over the years and have been very happy. Had one previous version's battery die, but I attribute that to the incredibly intense sun in the US Southeast. Image quality is excellent for the economical price of this unit, and the CPL filter is a welcome addition. Read more
