Wow! I usually struggle with shorts. They either cut into my sides, are too short, are too long, or are just uncomfortable. These Roxy shorts are soft, the perfect length, the perfect rise, and do not cut into my sides leading to the most comfortable pair of shorts I’ve ever owned. These are very cute very short board shorts. I'm 5'9" 138 lbs curvy in hips and booty and the medium is perfect. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I'm not sure if I'll have to keep readjusting the fold over waist and that could get annoying fast. I also tried them on without bikini bottoms underneath just to see if "commando" would be an option and it most definitely is not for me. Leg holes are too wide for that and the middle seam would be severely uncomfortable. But these will be perfect for a little more coverage over my bikini bottoms. Read more

I bought these almost 10 years ago and used them every summer. I lost them last year and just replaced them for this summer and I couldn’t be happier to have them back. These are very comfortable! Great length and security for swimming, and they look nice as board shorts. The portion that comes up high around the waist is stretchy but not loose, so you can have high waist coverage if you want, or you can fold it down. I love wearing these for their comfort and style. I ordered a small and a medium given all the reviews that the shorts ran small. I’m normally an XS or small (5’2” 1/2 and about 113 lbs). The small works well but could be a bit tighter. The medium was huge. Guess I should have stuck to my normal two sizes. Oh well. I really don’t like things that cut into me and create lumps and bumps of any kind. For that reason I’m keeping the small. I won’t bother to get the XS bc I think the shorts would then be too short on me.
