Roxy Womens Oceanside Beach Short

Adorable and comfortable shorts. This is the second pair I’ve purchased. I’m about 130lbs and 5’10” and a medium fit great. The inseam is roughly two inches so these are shorter shorts. The waist is drawstring and sits lower on my hips which I like. They’re a linen like material. The blue and black colors are opaque so you don’t have to worries about people seeing your underwear. Though they feel a bit small, they do tend to stretch as you move, so they seem to be more true to size after 10-15 minutes of wear. I bought these shorts to have something to wear around the house. I do not like elastic on shorts at all, so I looked for something that specifically had a drawstring. These are cute, very comfortable, and suitable not just for the house, but would be perfect to wear in public, in the summer, to a beach, whatever. They do have a bit of an elastic waist, but most of the hold is going to come from the drawstring, so they aren't going to strangle you or leave marks. I am 5'5" and approximately 130 pounds, normally a size 4-6. I bought the medium size, and they do fit. I am a little worried they might shrink with washing/drying, but the tag says not to dry in a dryer, so maybe I'll lay them flat. No guarantees on that.... I got these shorts for a trip to Jamaica that I'm taking in the end of May. I'm usually a medium or a large if the sizing runs small, so I ordered a large, and let me tell you... I'm glad I did. Honestly I could have probably gone with an extra large if I wanted the shorts to be a bit looser. The large is pretty form fitting on me, and there is no extra space in the legs, but the shorts are still super comfortable. The length is nice, as they aren't incredibly short. I originally ordered an XL but they were too big (for reference I usually order a US size 8-10 in pants) so they were exchanged for a size L. To be honest, I didn’t realize that these would be so short! However they’re great for the beach and being outdoors. Roxy always comes through with quality items that last for years. I especially like the way the pockets are made on these shorts - fairly deep (enough to hold my chapstick or ID) and they don’t pucker. Read more

These are my favorite shorts. They are super short but I don’t have a butt so they hang on my hips and I don’t have anyone viewing my non-existent butt. I should be getting XS but they are always out of stock or more expensive so I rely on the cords to pull right. I love the fabric. I love Roxy and its ethical commitment. I wash and dry everything before wearing to get out chemicals and avoid bleeding into other colors. After one was they don’t bleed - for me. I have the white and black and wash and dry them together. I love the pockets - although in my case putting a phone in drags them to falling off. The drawstring actually can loosen or tighten which is nice if you are in between or don’t have the $ to pay more for different sizes. I got the black here and white at Macys. Exactly the same fit and price. Authentic. Casual. Never shrink on me in dryer - and I have tried to make then shrink in high. In full description it says material, inseam, etc - so if you read all you get what you want. I buy based on my hips because I am pretty straight (versus curvy). At 32” hips it is hard to find adult clothes so I will raid junior or kid section if I have to. I have always loved Roxy! I also own the white pants. They are too long but I am too short. As a person who has a bit of a thicker waist, than rear end, these shorts have been awesome. They sit just right at the waist , you can adjust the waistband with the drawstring and they’re short enough to show off your legs if you like to do that- very comfortable very flattering super cute. Super cute! Amazon recommended the medium but I got the small in the color Stone. Perfect low rise fit, not too long or too short. They are a bit pricey though. I’m 5’ tall and weigh 127. Read more

Still great material but the cut if the shirts and the pockets have changed. The cut if the shirts are odd as the rise isn't as shirt as they used ti be resulting in a pooch look once they're on. It's worse when you sit while wearing them. Kind if looks like you're really happy to see people 🙄 The pockets are now pork chop shaped and awkward. I've worn these for years and the last black and white pairs I have could be replaced but they won't be replaces with these. Very disappointing because they used to be great shorts. I sent them back but the sizing is still correct. The fit is just very odd now. Read more
