I got the Rubbermaid Commercial 2957 LLDPE 10-Gallon Deskside Large Trash Can (Rectangular, 11" Width x 15-1/4" Depth x 19-7/8" Height, Gray) because it was almost a perfect fit for a pull-out on my kitchen island, that I use for accumulating recycling. There's nothing special about the trash can... it's just plastic, but it is durable, and doesn't have janky mold lines or anything on it. For my purposes, it would have been nicer if the trash can WASN'T tapered, but the design is cleaner if it is going to be in plain sight (mine isn't). Recommended Read more

I needed this to replace a brand new kitchen receptacle that has a peddle opener. It had a lip that made it almost impossible to remove the liner bag without tearing it and ending up with trash all over the floor. Newer was not better. I can line this trash basket, pull the liner right out and discard. This is sturdy, has the correct opening to line with trash bags and easily fits in the space that I have. It arrived right away and I was able to start using it right away. As usual, Rubbermaid is lightweight and easy for me to handle.
