Great Deal - but very smelly!
You are going to need Febreeze to make this costume bearable. Not fancy, but not cheaply made either, definitely a great deal. It is for an average size 6ft man, no one too chubby. It can be pinned for a short/small person, but not a child. It is black, not dark brown. Everyone will think you look hilarious more than scary and it is the best price you are going to find on a gorilla costume. Here's the details: THE SUIT: It is so itchy and leaves little black hairs everywhere lol. I am a 5'5 female and this is definitely for someone about 6ft. I knew the size was going to be an issue so I just rolled the pant legs and arms inward and pinned them, it looked great. I do think that the waist is a bit slim and the costume has a velcro closure so if you are too wide it will come open. I don't recommend for anyone over 44in waist, mine is 33in and it was loose. Also when I Febrezed the costume it got really wet and like an idiot I put it in the dryer for about 5 minutes... don't do that, it melts the hair. Luckily I smelled the melting hair in time to pull it out before it got bad, it actually made the hair shorter and kinda fuzzy (my friends thought it looked cuter fuzzy). THE MASK: It smells so bad of plastic, Febreze helped a lot but at the end of the day I was getting dizzy from it. Also, you will have a heck of a time seeing out of the mask, the eye holes are not very big and the mask is also smashed in the packing causes the holes to fold in a little bit, I did my best to stretch the holes but probably should have cut them. THE GLOVES: Your hands are going to get so sweaty! I do not understand what is up with these gloves and why they make your hands sweat, a few friends tried them on and said the same thing. They are definitely for large hands. THE SHOE COVERS: These are part of the pant legs, basically each pant leg has an extra long flap in the front that goes over the top of your shoe and then an elastic band that goes under the shoe to hold it in place. Since I rolled my pant legs to make them fit my short legs, I did not use these shoe covers, I bought monkey feet (see my pictures) Read more
