Great product for the price! Some people complained that it's thin, well guess what Einsteins, it's as think as a real surgical gown, which is a little thin. Very sturdy, it wasn't ever even close to tearing like some people said (the same ones who said it was thin and they thought it might tear). I'm annoyed at the negativity, it's absolutely great for Halloween. Wore it to Rocky Horror and got a lot of compliments. A very decent product. Don't hesitate to purchase. BTW I am 5' 9", women's size 2X, and I had plenty of room in it and it was nice and long (maybe not ideal if you're really short). Read more

Of those that recognized my halloween costume, the reply was the same: “You got that spot on.” It felt great being able to dress up as Dr. Frank N Furter and have people tell me the outfit was absolutely wonderful. It isn’t open in the back, such as his is in the movie, this has a tie on the inside right hip, and then wraps around to tie on the outside left hip. I was able to bring the ties once around my middle and tie them on my right hip to give it the belted look. The material is paper-thin. It really feels more like the protective suits you have to put on in the hospital before you can go into an infected room—just a bit thicker than that, but I managed to make it through the whole day without tearing it, and it is still good for another season or two if I decide to dress up as him again. I am afraid that no use will have it disintegrating. I guess time will have to tell on that, I am about 5’5-5’6” 140 pounds, and the neck on this is wide. It was bunching up, so my pearls were falling down into the costume instead of sitting on the outside. It came to my mid-calf when I was standing. It is a stiff fabric, and seemed to love bunching up under my lab coat at work when I had it on, so it was a constant game of tug-down. I would have liked a smaller size when ordering, but as there were none, this had to do, and it worked just fine. A little manual tweaking every half hour or so put everything back into place. All in all, if you’re looking for a Dr. Frank N Furter costume, or something along the medical costume line, this is a good choice. Even if it is big on me, it served its purpose and did it well. I don’t believe you could wash it and have the same costume come out when it dried—being like paper, I wouldn’t even bother washing, it’s cheap enough to go ahead and buy another one if it was really that dirty. Spot cleaning should be alright, however. Read more

Used it for a Dr. Frankenfurter costume so I had to destroy it anyway. But the material felt like a tablecloth and was missing the surgeon cap. If I didnt mutilate this costume, I would have returned it. Read more

The picture and product description does not accurately portray the fabric properties for this costume. The Fabric Type lists "100% polyester" but actual polyester clothing is wrinkle resistant & flexible. This material is stiff, as you can see from the photo that when on a hanger, the arms stand out rigidly away from the torso. The product image shows no wrinkles, while the product received had many wrinkles and creases, and is not very flexible. I highly doubt you could steam or iron out the wrinkles or creases, due to the properties of the material, which is somewhat plastic-like and I speculate that it could melt or warp under heat. The actual fabric is much closer to a polypropylene fabric, similar in thickness and texture to a disposable/expandable surgical protection mask. It is not paper-towel thin as some of the other reviews suggest, but you could certainly rip or tear it without too much effort. The actual fitting is large enough for an average to larger adult size. There are a set of internal and external ties that are attached, though it's not intuitive how you would use them. Based on the quality and durability of this product, you may as well purchase actual medical disposable polypropylene gowns that are a lower price point. Read more

Works perfectly for what I needed it for I put it on my dummy and not an actual human but I can tell you it would go on an average size man it's roomy enough even tried it on my husband it fit him and he's a plus size guy I wanted to get that mad surgeon effect and this was perfect and for the price of 11 dollars and some change I figured it would be one of those cheap type of gowns that rip easily it's not exactly paper thin but it's not too thick basically it's not going to rip too easily unless you use force didn't know the mask was actually attached to the gown but it's not a big deal I'm actually glad I bought this costume it was worth the buy Read more
