I used this Pilgrim set over an old black nun costume from years ago to be Hester Prynne from The Scarlet Letter for Halloween. I bought a square of red felt to make the large "A" and pinned it to the front and carried an old baby doll. It was a success and generated lots of discussion at the party. This Pilgrim accessory kit was so fun to play with! I used it to give a speech in front of my homeschool class. Everyone who saw this kit either complimented me, or laughed at how silly it was. It looks great. My only complaint is that the material is quite scratchy. In all, I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a costume. this costume is made of a sheer polyester fabric and it is surged along all the edges rather than a folded hem. It worked well for a school event, however. The apron has no gathering as it shows in the picture, so it is a bit strange and the bonnet is fairly small, but barely fit ok. The cuffs are very narrow, but worked ok. Read more
