I love these slacks. They fit well are very nice material and are comfortable. I recently gained back some weight I had lost and was not happy to find myself going back to a larger size. I am someone who not only is overweight, I have large legs and I find that many slacks, even slacks that are plus size have very narrow legs, which are not at all flattering for me. I wanted a nice pair of well-fitting dressy slacks. I had ordered four different pairs of slacks in the past two months without finding total happiness with the overall fit. I ordered a pair of these Ruby Rd. slacks in my regular size, fingers crossed. When they came, I tried them on and laughed because they were really big! Fit okay in the waist but the legs were too full. (with my knees, that is really saying something.) I returned them to Amazon and ordered the next size down with one-day delivery. They came, I tried them on, and I am delighted with the fit. Perfect fit in the waist, the thighs, the knees, the length. The fabric feels so silky smooth. Nice, well-fitting pants. The length was just at the ankle, the rise was comfortable and they fit good at the waist. Nice, dark chocolate color. I tried wearing light beige shoes and beige socks with these pants, but because the color of the brown panrs is so dark, the color of the shoes and socks stuck out too much and didn't contrast well with the sark pants as well as I'd hoped. I broke the not-wearing-black-shoes-with-brown-pants rule and tried them with black shoes and dark socks and they paired well. Phew. Update: Keep your lint brush handy as these pants are lint collectors. Also, the button on the inside of the waist band fell off after 1 wash, so get your sew kit out. An easy fix. Read more
I bought these in black and loved them, flattering in the butt, loose in the hips! Hard to find in plus sizes. I'm 5'7" and wear a 14/16, I ordered a 16 and it fit very comfortably. The fit looked very nice and professional with heels. So much so that I ordered the Heather gray and the Navy as well. The gray is LOVELY! I really like the color, the Navy is a little on the dark side, as pictured. Overall, very good quality pants. They have held up well after about 2/3 washings since I purchased them. These pants are unbelievable. They fit beautifully and take a beating. I had the unfortunate accident of tripping on a sidewalk in my town the first time I wore the pants. Had a half baseball size swollen lump on my knee from the fall and the knee was scrapped and messy. There isn't a broken thread in the pants where I hit the sidewalk. I couldn't believe they could take a beating like that and come out looking like new. Read more
I purchased the pants for work. Unfortunately I don't like the fabric choice and waistband. Additionally the pants are too long and wide. The color of the pants is good. I have purchase other Ruby Rd. pants over the years but the quality of purchased pants is certainly different. Read more
I absolutely love these pants. The fit is great. I have heavy thighs and these fit perfectly around them. The pant length is perfect. The fabric is a great weight. Ok, these are super comfy, but also very loose in the seat and legs. The waist band fits just right. There is only one pocket, a tiny one, and it's sewn shut. I'll have to take a seam ripper to it if I want to use it for anything. I'm 5'3" and had to hem up several inches, and the bottom is very wide, but straight, not flared, and it's not exactly flattering. The material is thin and doesn't seem especially durable, though it would be fine for an office environment. I tape measured myself to see which size to get. I was a higher size based on my waist and the next smaller size based on my hip. I chose the larger size. If I were to buy these again, I'd choose the smaller. I'll wear these, but I'm not sure I'd recommend them or buy them again. Read more
