They have stepped up their game since they first came on the market in 2017-2018
So I have had ruggables before. Years ago, shortly after they came around. They were terrible! Awkward and hard to get back onto the pad without being wrinkly. They looked weird after coming out of the washer, etc. I wanted a cute Christmas type rug for our entry way and figured I could try again just for the holidays. I was blown away by how awesome this rug was. First off: it’s the first rug I have bought that claimed to be ‘low pile’ that was actually low enough for our front door. Second: it is still sturdy enough to stand up to 5 people wiping feet (plus salt and sand residue from snow, etc) as well as 2 hairy dogs and a cat. Even after a couple weeks, it still looked great and vacuumed well enough that I didn’t need to wash it until after the holidays when I was putting it away. The size was perfect for inside my front door area, and it serve the purpose perfectly (keep the mud and salt off my floors and give us a place to put our wet shoes). Since then I’ve bought two more rugs to use. One at the back door where my two golden retrievers come in from the back yard. Anyone who has hair digs in the winter knows that they come in with weird little snow nuggets embedded near their feet and in their little paws. Everytime they come in, we go over and remove those little things. They typically get dropped onto the rug. They melt and evaporate or whatever and the rug looks perfect. No water stains. And also, suprisingly, no obvious hair build up. They wash amazingly and come out of the dryer looking great! I treat the stains (from dirt or whatever) on our one lighter color rug and that’s it. Wash on the express setting (on our washer, that’s a 30 min cycle, on cold water and high spin) then dry on low heat and it comes out ready to lay back down. No wrinkles or anything. So glad I gave them another try Read more
