We bought two of these for our home office to go under our chairs at a 60” L-shaped desk, mainly to protect our LVP flooring from rolling chairs. They work great. The mats are nice and sturdy, and the bottom is sticky enough that they don’t slide around at all once you put them down. Our chairs roll smoothly, but the mats stay put, which is exactly what we needed. The size (4'x5') is perfect for my office setup allowing me to move my chair around a bit rather than just sitting in front of my desk. The underside is slightly tacky in its new condition which should help with slipping/sliding/bunching but I have my doubts, especially after a wash or two. What would have really benefited this mat is shipping it rolled up instead of folding; this would eliminate the folds and creases which were still present even after letting it "relax" for the day. I still have hopes it will completely flatten but I also have doubts on that. While this mat is thin, I believe that is necessary to keep the chair from bogging down. I must also point out that I think a chair with standard casters would be disastrous and would completely fail, primarily because of those aforementioned creases and folds not immediately flattening out. So far with my polyurethane casters I can easily glide across the mat and my hopes are that these casters will extend the mat's life by not getting stuck on those creases. Still, the number one "fix" for many potential issues would be to ship it rolled so it would lay flat. Read more
