GREAT, SIMPLE, EASY TO USE MP3 PLAYER/AUDIO RECORDING DEVICE. OVERALL THIS IS AN EXCELLENT USB MP3 PLAYER/AUDIO RECORDING DEVICE WITH BLUETOOTH CAPABILITIES. IT COMES WITH A BUILT IN CLIP, MAKING IT EASY TO ATTACH TO YOUR CLOTHES. IT IS RELATIVELY SMALL WITH A COMBINATION OF HARD AND SOFT BUTTONS. 1) BODY IS PLASTIC WITH A METAL FRAME. HAS SOME WEIGHT TO IT, WHICH MAKES IT FEEL WELL BUILT. IT HAS 3.5MM A BUILT-IN HEADPHONE JACK, WHICH I PREFER BECAUSE IT MAKES THE BATTERY LAST LONGER. THERE ARE 3 HARD BUTTONS: VOLUME UP, VOLUME DOWN, AND POWER BUTTON WHICH CAN ALSO BE USED TO TURN OFF/LOCK THE DISPLAY SCREEN. THERE ALSO IS A BUILT IN USB CONNECTOR WITH A COVER THAT ATTACHES MAGNETICALLY AND SECURELY. IT DOES COME WITH A FEMALE-TO-MALE USB CABLE EXTENTION CABLE FOR EASIER CONNECTIVITY TO COMPUTER. IT ALSO COMES WITH HEADPHONES, BUT YOU'RE BETTER OFF USING YOUR OWN HEADPHONES. THE SOFT BUTTONS ARE: MENU, FAST FORWARD, REWIND, PLAY/PAUSE/SELECT/START/STOP. THE BUTTONS WORK WELL, BUT IF YOU HAVE LARGE FINGERS, YOU MAY FIND YOURSELF ACCIDENTALLY SELECTING THE WRONG BUTTON. 3) MUSIC PLAYER APP - PRETTY STANDARD FOR MUSIC PLAYERS: I PERSONALLY USE THE FOLDERS APP TO ACCESS AND PLAY MY MUSIC. THIS MAKES IT EASY TO ORGANIZE YOUR MUSIC HOWEVER YOU WANT. (FILES AND FOLDERS MUST BE NAMED AND ORGANIZED PRIOR TO UPLOADING TO THE PLAYER, BECAUSE THERE IS NO WAY TO EDIT FILE NAMES ON THE PLAYER ITSELF). INSTRUCTIONS SUGGEST ADDING 001, 002....009 AT THE BEGINNING OF THE FILE IF YOU DESIRE TO HAVE FILES SORTED IN A SPECIFIC WAY. THIS SORTING WORKS WITHIN THE MUSIC APP BUT DOES NOT APPLY WITHIN THE FOLDER APP. THE EQUALIZER WORKS GOOD. IT HAS A "NOW PLAYING" OPTION IN THE MENU WHICH PLAYS/RESUMES YOUR LAST PLAYED SONG, THIS OPTION IS AVAILABLE IN THE MUSIC AND FOLDER APP ONLY. THERE IS AN OPTION TO BOOKMARK A PARTICULAR POINT IN A SONG SO YOU CAN EASILY GO BACK TO IT. PLAYBACK MODES ARE BASIC: PLAY IN ORDER, REPEAT ALL, SHUFFLE, REPEAT 1. YOU CAN CHANGE THE PLAYING SPEED OF A SONG. IT ALSO HAS AN A - B REPEAT MODE THAT ALLOWS YOU TO SELECT A START POINT(A) AND AN ENDPOINT(B) IN A SONG (SHORT PRESS THE FAST-FORWARD BUTTON TO SET A AND B) AND HAVE THAT SECTION OF THE SONG "REPLAY TIMES" UP TO 10 TIMES WITH AN "REPLAY INTERVAL" PAUSE TIME UP TO 10 SECONDS BETWEEN EACH REPLAY. YOU CAN ADD SONGS TO A PLAYLIST. THERE ARE 3 PLAYLIST TO CHOOSE FROM: 'PLAYLIST 1', 'PLAYLIST 2', 'PLAYLIST 3'. PLAYLIST NAMES CAN'T BE CHANGED. VOLUME GETS PLENTY LOUD ENOUGH. 4) AUDIO RECORDING: RECORD WITH BUILT IN MIC OR EXTERNAL MIC. THE BUILT IN MIC ACTUALLY WORKS PRETTY GOOD WITH OPTIONS TO SAVE AUDIO AS MP3 OR WAV FORMAT AT DIFFERENT BIT RATES. SIMPLY PRESS THE BACK BUTTON TO SAVE OR DELETE THE RECORDING. ALL RECORDINGS ARE EASILY ACCESSED AND PLAYED WITHIN THE RECORDING APP AND FILES ARE AUTO-NAMED BY DATE AND TIME. I THINK THIS FEATURE IS GREAT IF YOU NEED A DEVICE TO RECORD AUDIO FOR MEETINGS OR CLASSES. 5) BLUETOOTH: PAIRS QUICKLY AND EASILY WITH MY HEADPHONES. RANGE IS PRETTY IMPRESSIVE: I STILL HAD SEAMLESS CONNECTION WITH THE MP3 PLAYER UPSTAIRS IN A BEDROOM AND ME BEING DOWNSTAIRS. IF I WENT INTO A ROOM DOWNSTAIRS AND CLOSED THE DOOR, IT STILL WORKED, BUT WOULD CUT IN AND OUT EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE, BUT THAT'S TO BE EXPECTED. 6) RADIO (NEEDS WIRED HEADPHONES TO WORK): WORKS OK. SOMETIMES HARD TO GET A CLEAR SIGNAL. EASY TO AUTO TUNE AND SET STATION PRESETS(30 AVAILABLE PRESET SLOTS). USE THE PLAY/PAUSE BUTTON TO SCAN THROUGH YOUR PRESET STATIONS. USE THE FAST-FORWARD/REWIND SOFT BUTTONS TO MANUALLY SEARCH FOR A STATION. 8) SETTINGS: "POWER OFF": SLEEP TIMER - AUTO TURNS OFF THE PLAYER AFTER A SET AMOUNT OF TIME ONLY IN NO MUSIC IS PLAYING IN ORDER TO SAVE BATTERY POWER. I use this device for the audio connection to my UE Boom 2 speaker.(pictured) I also keep it in a protective case while in use at work (I do this with all my MP3players). The Ruizu 64 GB clip player comes with good charging cord and audio ear buds, and small instruction book. (no stylus, audio cord, speaker or protective case) 1. The reason I have a small stylus with this device . The touch controls are very tiny. Not user friendly for even normal sized fingers. To save in frustration, you may want to use stylus to setup and start up player. (I bought small stylus to carry in case with player and charge cord) 2. The volume control buttons on top work great. (+ and -) The 3rd button is used for turning player on or off by holding for several seconds, It does a count down on screen before shutting off. Quick press of 3rd button will turn screen and touch control active or inactive toggle. Once you get it set up to play, you are set for hours! 3. This player has a pretty decent battery life for it's size. 4. This device has an impressive Bluetooth range! Even though I use it for audio connect mostly, I did test the Bluetooth range. The distance was around the 50 feet! 5. The clip seems pretty sturdy. The whole device is actually pretty sturdy. 6. You can use this as a thumb drive. So using it in your vehicle USB slot would work great. I was able to copy a file from player to my android phone. (using an android adapter) 7. I like the capacity of 64GB. My music program (Media Monkey) recognized this device, and I was able to synch my playlist right over to it. 8. I wasn't in the market for an MP3 player. What is this the early 2000? But, I'm trying to get back on track and train for some runs like half marathons and tri. My go to was the Garmin + music but it became unreliable to playing my music. The alternative was an older Ipod but i couldn't upload Itunes to revamp the songs. This was a surprise purchase that will get me going again and have hassle free training sessions. The size is perfect because i can just attach to the collar of my shirts or on the side band of shorts. The only concern i have is with the placement of the 3.5mm jack. It faces upwards which in my case might accumulate sweat, tears, and dust. This is because i'm planning on going BT with these. Wireless is making a comeback but not in my case, at least not yet. The sound quality is pretty good too. It has preset equalizers that are pretty cool and useful. The connectivity is pretty good. It's never more than 3ft apart so i don't expect issues. And, i think it's pretty good for the money because it hold 64GB of storage which is enough space/music for activities lasting 2-3hrs. Lets be honest. I'll update if i go over those but i doubt it.
