Purchased this to wear at an Indian celebration. Wanted it to be a little "dressy" but not look like a costume. At first, I thought this was too plain, but after we put it on, the fabric has a glossy finish and looks really nice in the light. The material feels stiff and a bit nylon slick, but It is thick and after we steam out a few wrinkles, it should work great for the single event. We did size up, as most people say Indian clothes run small. This jacket fit a tall/thin man who usually wears a men's medium. We ordered Large, for a little extra room and to make sure the sleeves were long enough. It has both side pockets and a breast pocket, The sewing is ok, and the jacket is lined, but the sewing seems a little loose. I might add a few stitches to the buttons to make sure they stay on. I've purchased 3 kurtas from this brand. All 5 stars in terms of thick silky materials and beautifully designed. So I figured I'd try the black with silver tones. What i received was a very thin, all black and rough to the touch kurta that was nothing like what I've purchased in the past from this brand. Extremely disappointed as their past kurtas on this family grouping was so very extravagant. I received a lot of compliments at temple.
