Great for home lounging.

John C Dixon JrMarch 21, 2026✓ Verified purchase

Excellent quality and the sizing chart is correct. The only tight point is the sleeves. If you have normal size biceps you will have a good fit. They are tight on me but I have very large biceps, so if you workout and have larger arms then they will be snug. They are sold as cosplay or reenactment clothing but I bought them for casual wear around the house. I love them because they are more comfortable than more expensive lounging clothes. Read more

Great for Casual Ren Fair Enthusiasts

CrownPrincess1976March 3, 2026

I got this Runcati Mens Medieval Shirt for my husband to wear as a costume, and it's a great choice for him. I got him a medium (he is usually a medium), and this fit him true-to-size with a little bit of appropriate ease. We probably dress up in costumes more than the average family. We occasionally visit Medieval Faires and Renaissance festivals, Halloween Parties, and sometimes play Dungeons and Dragons. He has a few different medieval shirts, and this one ranks up there in terms of quality of constuction and comfort. This has good, even stitching and some nice detailing like the trim and the lacing at the neckline. It is made form a synthetic fabric that is light and breathable. I ordered the "army green" color, and that is an accurate description of what it is! It's just the color of army fatigue/olive drab. This color is a realistic approximation of the greens that are possible with natural dyes from the medieval period (using woad, weld, and iron), so a very appropriate green for this piece. The trim is not period, at all, and is made with metallic thread, but it is not essential to the garment construction and can be easily removed, if desired. This can be worn a couple of different ways -- with or without a belt, tucked or untucked, or over another, long-sleeved shirt -- to get a few different looks as a shirt or as a short tunic. The shape is maybe not strictly period accurate, but it does yield itself to versatility. This is a great choice for someone who wants a quick costume that's made out of nice-looking fabrics and comfortable enough to wear in summer weather. Not for the serious costume historian, perhaps, but perfect for dinner with a theme park princess or for grabbing some turkey legs with the family at ye olde local summer jousting tourney. Read more

Pretty nice faire shirt

QueenofAwkwardMarch 3, 2026

A few years ago I got my husband a really nice handmade outfit (pants, belt, shirt) for ren faire. The only issue is that the shirt is really thick and long sleeved. It's great for when we go to the faire near my parents, but it's far too hot for the one near us, so I've been looking out for a less expensive shirt for the hot weather faire. I wasn't sure about this when I took it out of the package, but thankfully I waited to make my husband try it on. It looks really good! I had him put it on with the pants and belt I got him previously and it will be perfect for the faire near us. The shirt is 100% cotton (although I doubt the trim part is) and I had no issues washing and drying it. We got it in his usual size, medium, and it fit as expected. It didn't attract any pet hair in the wash, and the construction and stitching look good. I did put some anti-fray stuff on the ends of the tie, although it looked like it was stitched to prevent that. The fabric is very nice, light weight, and breathable. We got the shirt in the navy and the product photos are pretty accurate to color. (Mine are less so.) I think the price is good for a comfortable, all cotton costume shirt like this. If you're looking for an inexpensive, light weight costume piece this is a good option. Read more

Nicely sewn trim with washing instructions included.

TheBuyerMarch 5, 2026✓ Verified purchase

This is a really nice shirt. The fabric is a little rough for cotton, but it's thick enough so that's okay. It may soften when washed. There is a tag inside with washing instructions. The trim is all nicely stitched and lays flat against the neckline and the edge of the sleeves. I'm really happy with it and I got another one. Read more

Substantial Cotton, Great Fit & Authentic Detail – A Standout Costume Shirt

Gregg WestMarch 5, 2026

This pirate-style lace-up shirt genuinely impressed me. The fabric is 100% cotton, and it feels soft, breathable, and comfortable right out of the package. It has enough weight to feel substantial without being heavy—perfect for long wear at a ren faire or costume event. The XL fit true to size for me and draped nicely with that relaxed, period-appropriate silhouette. The loose cut gives it that authentic medieval/renaissance look without feeling oversized or sloppy. Construction appears solid. The stitching is neat and secure, and the standout detail for me is the thick cord used for the V-neck lacing. Many similar shirts use thin, flimsy string—but this one uses a soft, thicker cord that not only looks better but feels more durable. It adds both visual appeal and structural strength to the neckline. The overall materials and build quality suggest this piece should hold up well with proper care. While the tag indicates a cold gentle machine cycle with low dryer/iron is acceptable, I plan to skip the dryer to minimize any potential shrinkage and preserve the cotton for long-term use. If you’re putting together a pirate, Viking, or renaissance look, this shirt delivers the right style, comfort, and construction quality at a very reasonable price. A strong 5-star costume piece that feels a step above many similar options. Read more
