I have Several Milan Belts. Why? I am a collector of Belts and Buckles. Aside, from their looks and obvious Quality, Milan is the only one that will have the three snaps for the Buckle and the two metal loops. OK, so they are embossed in Exotic patterns at least you can get a pattern that matches your Boots. I will put in a Plug for Lucchese--They are the Mercedes of boots and Belts--But price a Belt. I do have 15 pair of Lucchese boots and the wife has a few also. The difficulty is finding the correct belt to match. Also and very important, many old style buckles and some of the many expensive new buckles are not made for a 2 inch belt. (A "Ranger set" comes to mind and many Indian buckles won't fit a 2 inch belt. Bull Hide make the most durable! (will last a lifetime if you wear it every day. Ariat also is Really Great Belt and has many nice "western" style patterns. You can spot a Lucchese easily, but you will pay for it. Be Wary of some "Exotic" looking belts as they are very thin cover sewn over felt and a leather back strip. They look good hanging up. Even if you use the Milan buckle its a nice Buckle (but they could change the pattern now and then). Bottom line is the Milan is a quality, well made and good looking Belt for the price. I just received my belt today and I am pleasantly surprised at the quality. I have previously purchased belts on line from other manufacturers at comparable prices and they were made of poor quantity material and craftsmanship and barely lasted a year. I really like style and great looks of Onyx men's leather belts, but not their price. Considering the craftsmanship and materials that go into Onyx belts, they are worth every penny you pay for them. But that doesn't eliminate the pain in the pocket felt every time I buy one. When I saw the "Milan" Italian Calfskin Leather Men's Designer Dress and Golf Belts being sold by Belts.com on Amazon.com, I was immediately attracted to the great looks and style of their hardware, leather colors and embossing options. They are very similar to the looks and style seen with Onyx belts, but I can buy two of them for what I would pay for one Onyx belt and still have a little money left. So that's exactly what I did, buying one "Milan" Italian Calfskin Leather Men's Belt in Tan Lizard and one in Black Lizard. They fit me true-to-size, with my normal size fitting in the middle hole (hole #4 of the 7 holes in the belt). The Italian Calfskin leather has a very nice feel, is nicely embossed, and the two-tone metal buckle, double keepers and tip look great on these belts. I've already gotten several compliments from a number of people on both of these belts when I've worn them. The leather used in these belts is not as thick as the leather you would find with an Onyx belt, but neither belt has started to take on that "C" shape I've encountered with other belts after they've been worn a few times, so I'm anticipating these belts to wear well and last a long time. Probably not as long as an Onyx belt (I have one I've worn for over 35 years and it's still going strong), but I'll be very pleased if I'm still wearing these belts, looking good (and I'm still alive!) 15 or 20 years from now. I don't know about you but shopping online requires you to know exactly what you want. It's hard to estimate quality because you can't really see or touch it and everyone has a different view on quality. This item is pretty good quality to me because the belt does not break and bend or tear with constant use. After the first few wears it does twist a bit where you buckle but important that it doesn't tear or cause raised lines (signs of poor quality or workmanship). It also fits very good ... In buying a belt you really need to ensure that the belt fits you in the middle holes so that there's room for small weight changes. I wear waist 36 pants so I bought a waist 36 belt and it fits perfectly! No retarded over excess that doesn't line up with belt loops. Belt has got 7 holes and mine fit smack in the middle. Style is also very good to me though i'd prefer a wider belt, this one was nice and generic to work with just about and standard cut. I bought a black belt as well in a slightly different style and use them all the time depending on the color match and after 4 months they stand strong ... no cuts, scratches or issues though there is a bit of stretch wear at the hole I normally use.
