My husband bought me this necklace as a birthday present and, of course, I peaked at our Amazon orders before my birthday to see what I was getting, as one does. My birthday is in June and the stone looked very purple, which definitely is not my color and often, in my opinion, looks Cheap. My birthstone is Alexandrite, which is a very light purple, but not the purple shown in the picture. I was very pleased when I received the necklace because the stone was true to Alexandrite’s actual color and was a very light purple. I also thought that it might be a bit large to wear for every day and I might not be able to pair it down for every day use. But I was extremely delighted to find that it was actually the perfect size and doesn’t take away from, but rather complements my everyday outfits.
