Works as expected for a Sabrent unit

naokiuraMarch 13, 2026✓ Verified purchase

Bought this early January 2026 so far works great, charging is same as any other charger I have owned. Seems pretty solid, and having 7 ports is great. LED's are as bright as I was hoping but good enough just need to lean over to see them. It's great that each port has a power button. I really don't feel any heat when I touch the unit. Read more

Solid Device That Works Well

Secret AgentJanuary 15, 2026✓ Verified purchase

This is a review of the powered 60w 10 port device with switches. I bought it because I'd added a Pluggable Displaylink USB to DisplayPort device that seemed to be adding some USB instability to my low end Dell Vostro laptop. Drives not being recognized when plugged in, etc. The Pluggable is a fairly high power/traffic device, so I thought a powered hub could take some load off my Dell's power supply. So far it's working well, with one big advantage. Rather than using three ports on my laptop, I'm now only using one, so it's almost like a laptop dock except that I also have an Ethernet cable and power cable attached (the USB-C on my laptop is not the advanced type that can do display port and power, so I wouldn't want it also handling my Ethernet traffic through the USB port). Since I only use the external monitor and all my USB devices are now separately powered, the only draw on my laptop's power supply is for the laptop itself (CPU/GPU, BT and USB systems, etc.) The switches are a nice little plus so that I can disconnect a device without unplugging it. My only complaint is the design is not such that it's easy to label what each cord does, which would be useful for the switches, but I did create a list I posted close by. Read more

REVISED DOWNWARD: An important peripheral. So far so good . . .

joebNovember 3, 2025✓ Verified purchase

REVISED REVIEW: I originally gave this USB hub 5 stars. After using it for a few days I have to downgrade this positive review as it was premature. The hub randomly pulls up other USB ports on its own when using a different port. Also, it is quite slow in recognizing a port after making that port active. And on occasion will active an external hard drive that's connected to the computer, not the hub. In general this port acts squirrely. Since it's only a few days old, I hate to think of what is to come a few days down the road. I would not buy this port again. Another example of inferior Chinese quality. ORIGINAL REVIEW This is perhaps my most useful computer peripheral. I keep everything on flash drives. My old USB hub kept erasing flash drives and important information. There's a zillion of these on Amazon so reading the reviews helped. So I got this. It's a bit pricey but it seems so far to be doing all that was advertised. I like the fact that it is powered since I think power out of the back of my computer is not enough and I don't use it to charge things. Also, the on/off switches mean I only have to power up the ones I'm using at the time. 10 ports are sufficient for my needs. And my computer recognizes an active USB drive as soon as I press the button. This is reassuring relative to the old one. Nothing erased so far. But I really can't speak to the long-term reliability since I've not used it for long. I like the rubber footing since it keeps it in place. The adapter brick is sort of big but the connecting cord is long enough so that it can be placed away from the AC plug allowing me to place it atop the computer. It's neat and compact. One big downside is that the blue active indicator lights are not very bright. So far I can recommend it. But take my advice. Don't trust USB flash drives for important stuff. Have one or two active external hard drives at all times. A hassle copy to all the time, but important insurance in my opinion. Read more

Short cable but otherwise great

Nice works as intended. Just wish the usb cable was not so short so that it could sit on my desk but it can’t reach. Other than that, great product. Read more

Reliable. UL listed power supply.

C. BarkerFebruary 27, 2026✓ Verified purchase

I've had this running for a couple years now and it's worked quite well. It's connected to a desktop and was causing some issues when Windows 11 would try to power it down. It's not the products fault at all. The power supply is UL listed, I verified that. The hub itself doesn't show that symbol. Read more

Small profile, fast data transfers, lots of ports.

Wladimir FJanuary 12, 2026✓ Verified purchase

I like the SABRENT brand - I needed something quick for a VR/recording project and this fit the bill. Powered the extra lighting/recording equipment I needed. Data transfers are great too and the unit doesn't run hot like others I've had in the past. There's no setup really - just plug in what you need. Overall good price for the functionality and it tucks away easily since it's a small profile unit. Great design and looks like it's built to last. Read more
