I wanted a mouse, just an ordinary mouse. I wanted one with just the features that I need and use, this mouse has those features. I want a mouse with a rechargeable battery, one with 2 click functions and tilt wheel, this mouse has that. I wanted a rechargeable battery because I hate having to replace batteries all the time, this mouse can take constant use on a full charge, it shuts down when you are not using it which saves battery life and one charge lasts a long time. Put it this way, I use it all day long and I have never run out of a charge. This is not a "gaming mouse" it does not have all the side click buttons and features I don't use, I am not a gamer. This mouse has left-right click and side scrolling, plus you can change the frequency, that's all I want, and that's all this mouse has! This mouse also uses a dongle. I have had Bluetooth mice, and they can be touchy. Sometimes Bluetooth works and sometimes it does not, a dongle with frequency adjustment works all the time! This mouse works all the time! It never jumps, or activates things you don't want it to, it just works flawlessly every time. A very affordable "old man" mouse, is just my speed. I initially bought this product to carry in my tote to/from work with my laptop. It has been great for travel & works well with or without a mousepad. In 2020 I had to homeschool 2 elementary kids & ordered one for each of them because the compact size is ergonomic for little hands. I had to replace one after my kids fought over it and after their tug of war half the cord wouldn’t retract back into the mechanism. The best part is the retractable usb cord means it’s easy to put away, no need for changing batteries, & there is no usb fob to lose (an issue that has rendered many a cordless mouse in my home useless). easy, accurate tracking. I have used it on a wooden table (matt surface) and mousepad. Both work fine. scroll wheel is smooth. retractor works well. I used to use the logitech M125 retractable, but it stopped working and is no longer manufactured. I prefer the size of the M125, but i needed something small and retractable. [EDIT 2023 06 29] so after about 3 years, my sabrent finally stopped working. it mostly still worked, but it seems the cable is a little loose inside the mouse, so the laptop keeps thinking it is connecting and disconnecting over and over again. I guess using the retraction feature to pull out the cable puts strain on the cable connection to the mouse, so it finally gave up. It worked so well, that I just ordered a new one to replace my old one. glad it is still in production. Read more
I've been working from home using just a Surface laptop but I got tired of using the touchpad and decided it was time to invest in a mouse. I didn't want anything too fancy since it was just for working from home so I decided to buy this one as it was a fair price and it's small size made it easy to travel with. Overall, the mouse itself is good. It does its job just fine and since it's USB connected you can just plug and go. No need for any drivers or downloads. The clicking can be a bit loud sometimes, especially if you are doing it a lot and notice it but it's not a dealbreaker. Scrolling works great and the mouse cord itself can be extended depending on how long you need it to be. However, it does have its cons as well. The mouse tends to suddenly move across the page every now and then. I use it every day and it does it very infrequently but when it does do it you'll get very annoyed. Another thing it does that I hate is that for some reason it thinks you're holding the left click down as if to highlight. You'll randomly be moving the cursor and you'll be highlighting everything on the page. This one does happen very often and is why this product is not getting five stars. Read more
i travel a lot for work from location to location and found i was losing the little plug-in usb transmitter for my wireless mouse. i also ran out of batteries on the wireless mouse often because i kept forgetting to turn it off in between traveling to locations. i purchased this retractable mini mouse to keep in the padded pocket of my laptop backpack and it has worked so well in the first few weeks i’ve been using it! the cord is a long enough length to allow for comfortable use and coils right back up into itself with a gentle pull. the mouse is small but not tiny, it’s very comfortable. way more intuitive than using the little rubber button in the middle of the keyboard or the square mouse pad built until the laptop. time will tell how durable it is but so far i really love this travel mouse! I was looking for a replacement for my targus travel mouse, which was tiny in comparison to this one. This mouse is more of a compact, yet full sized mouse, but feels good in the hand. One quirk I've found annoying with it is, after it "sleeps", you have to click one of the mouse buttons to wake it up, unlike many other wireless mice out there that just moving them wakes them up. I dont see this becoming a favorite mouse, more of a "it will do in a pinch" cheaper option to other mice. (works with Linux out of the box) Read more
Does the job and the buttons seem pretty good quality. It's quite a bit smaller than a full size mouse so takes a bit of getting used to. The wire is pretty thin so if you're retracting this thing day in and day out I doubt it will last very long. I'm only using it occasionally. If it breaks, just buy a new one cause it's pretty inexpensive. UPDATE 5/1/25: Surprisingly after 8 years of infrequent use on trips this thing still works fine. You'd think that thin wire would give out! The wheel does not really work anymore though, and it never worked well. Read more
