I love the shape of the lamp base, but the gold is REALLY yellow and garish. Having said that, at this price for two, I used one light coat of Rust oleum Satin bronze, (which looks like aged brass and isn't brown) to tone it down. Took me 10 minutes and a day to dry. Now I love it! I'm going to paint the other one black and use it in my office. They are sturdy, and nice for the price even came with a lightbulb! (left photo is before painting) Read more
