After upgrading to AirPods Pro 3, I discovered my existing Bluetooth transmitter just wouldn’t connect properly, at best it would on,y connect one channel, even though it worked great with every other device I had. This one solved the problem right away. Pairing was quick, and it recognized the Pro 3 without hassle although on one occasion it too connected once with only one channel, but restarting the connection by placing the AirPods back in the case and removing again fixed it and it hasn’t repeated since. The little OLED screen is very useful, it shows battery level, codec type, volume level, and even the connected device names, which gives some peace of mind when you’re traveling. Battery life has been solid; I’ve gone through long stretches of use without needing a recharge and it can run while plugged in via USB-C. Performance has been smooth overall. Audio is clear and in sync, I’ve noticed no distracting lag when watching video, and even AirPod stem controls like pause/play and volume have worked reliably, which was a pleasant surprise. Does exactly what it says. Price is good and works great. I found it super easy to to set up and connect to my headphones much better than the more expensive brand. I got it for air travel mostly as I upgraded to Bluetooth wireless headphones. Having the little screen makes a big difference to usability. A small gripe - On the plane, sometimes when I pause the movie it fails to pickup the audio again (maybe power-saving?) so I have unplug and plug it back again to trigger the connection. Not sure if that's a quirk with this device or my esoteric headphones, but it's not enough of a problem to bother me but thought I would mention it. The only reason to hold off buying one is that I realized I often don't need it because on some of the newer aircraft, the screens have built-in Bluetooth hidden in the menu. I have two of these now, and just logged into Amazon to purchase my third (I want one for "quiet gaming" at home). I have been nothing but impressed with this product from the very beginning. I have used them on airplanes, and the ability to enjoy an in-flight movie and NOT need to fuss with corded earbuds is wonderful. But I primarily use both of my units daily at work; I have one of these transmitters dedicated to my office TV's audio-out jack and another connected to one of my monitors for online videos. Both are paired to the same pair of (inexpensive...) earbuds, which connect automatically to whichever transmitter is powered on. I see some complaints about connection loss here, apparently due to "paused" intervals; I assume this is a power-saving feature, dropping the connection if there is no audio for a defined period... I have experienced this as well when I have had to step away for a while, but to automatically reconnect all I have ever needed to do is click the "M" button on the side. Read more
I had seen similar products offered at twice the price with more features, but all I need this to do is connect airplane screens to my Bluetooth headphones. Tried this on a couple of 7+ hour long flights and it worked great. Still have plenty of battery time left despite using it for the full length of both flights with no recharging. There was a slight sync lag on the second flight, but I found turning it off & waiting 30 sec before turning it back on seemed to solve it.
