Saiyin Passive Bookshelf Speakers 80W Peak Power 5 Woofer 20mm Silk Dome Tweeter Stereo Speakers Enhanced Vocal Clarity

I'm become a huge fan of Saiyan speakers. I think they offer great bang for the buck. They have really decent bass and are very clear. This is my 4th purchase of Saiyin speakers. I was so blown away with the Saiyan DS6700M (their 3.5 inch woofer model) that I later purchased two pairs of their Riowois DS6800M (with a 4 inch woofer) speakers. Then I saw they have a larger speaker (DS6900M) with a 5 inch woofer and I had to give it a try. So far, I think the 5-inch version is the best of the bunch. They all have surprisingly good bass for such small speakers but the 5-inch version is definitely the best in that area. And the 5-inch has super great clarity and detail. For example, in Diana Krall's The Look of Love, the sounds of the brushing drums sounded incredible to me. It was very detailed and clear. The overall sound is rich, spacious, and balanced with great clarity and surprisingly decent bass. I think I might actually prefer these to my Sony SS-CS5. My listening tests were done using a Sonos AMP. The build quality is also very good and I like the looks of them. I was pretty surprised by the sound form these little speakers. Both the sound quality and clarity are pretty amazing even at loud volumes, easy connection to wire them, they look like the will last and I’m pretty tough on speakers, the work well with my new Donner receiver that I just bought too, never heard of either the brands but I’m very pleased Read more

Finding a pair of small speakers that sound great is hard. Few manufacturers are willing to put out a speaker less than 12 in in height and or depth. Polk has some Elite series that are close, but they lack low end bass. These are exactly what I wanted for my bedroom! They pair perfectly with my Onkyo a-9110 integrated amplifier and sound amazing with ample bass (down to 55Hz) and clear mids. At higher volumes, there is a bit of distortion at the high end, but these speakers are under $70. At this price point there is some compromise on the sound quality. Overall, these speakers are compact, easy to install and sound wonderful in my bedroom. Read more
