Sally Hansen Face Hair Removal Wax Strips Kit At-Home Use 18 Count

This product was inexpensive and worked absolutely great! I have never used the home wax kits. Although it came with only six of the double-sided strips (instead of nine) Amazon has already shipped a replacement box. I used them today and couldn't be more pleased. When applied appropriately, I'm not sure how these don't work for people. My skin wasn't even as clean as I thought it was... I use micellar water and thought I had cleansed appropriately. They still worked great and I only found one stray hair which was likely not pressed into the wax near my lip. These are gray and well worth the price! Read more

edit: if you have any thick hairs this will not work. Fine hairs & peach fuzz only. I just hit that age where chin hairs & peach fuzz are starting to show T.T I wanted a quick & easy to use wax strip for the small sparse patches of hairs on my chin & corners of my upper. They look like peach fuzz for the most part. These stripes are small, i tried to show with my finger they are ~2inches long & a little under an 1inch wide. You rubbed the patch together between ur palms to warm up the wax for about 10-15 seconds then split the plastic to produce two useable straps. It took 4 individual strips to go over my chin & upper lip on my first try. Next time I am sure 2 will be good. The hair came off easily with minimal pain. The wax did leave my face sticky but the oil wipe took care of that. Personally I don't like that the oil left my face a lil greasy so I washed my face when I was done. The packet says the oil conditions & smooths so I think its supposed to be left on. There are 18 strips & 4 packs of wiped in the box so be mindful if your covering a larger area & have more than peach fuzz this product probably wouldn't work well for you. The box says short hairs but i dont know if the strip is strong enough for denser thicker hairs. I have one dense hair on my jawline that i tweeze, i dont think this would work on it. Read more

**my rating is for the new formula (blue wax). I have been buying this specific brand of wax strips to use on the 5 or so hairs that despite my best efforts, keep popping up on the right side of my chin. These strips were cheap, easy to use, and they worked great. I recently went to repurchase them and noticed Amazon only had the new formula in stock, which I hadn’t tried before. On these strips, the wax is blue and you don’t need to warm them up by rubbing them between your hands anymore. Unfortunately these did not work at all for me. I used like 5 strips and even with considerable effort wasn’t able to get any hair off. They are not sticky enough!! I really hope the company isn’t planning on phasing out the original wax formula. Sally Hansen, if you’re listening please!! us millennial women need you to keep producing the original formula! There’s a million other brands of wax strips out there, but yours is the only one that actually works on chin hairs! Don’t abandon us now! Read more

it's hard to tell whether you're going to get a good application with these. sometimes i feel like i've applied it perfectly, only for it to miss a significant amount of hair, and sometimes it grabs onto everything and i get a really clean pull. the smaller strips are harder to use and make up the bulk of the 18 count in the box. the major plus side is that there is NO heating or applying wax to the skin and rushing to get a strip on it before it cools too much--the thin layer of wax on each side of the strip heats in your hand and there is practically no mess, aside from used strips that need to be disposed of. the down side is that because the amount of product on each strip is so thin, they don't always grab onto every hair, especially longer or finer hairs. these work best in smooth, flat, firm areas, and struggle a bit more on softer areas in my experience. it is key to use the wipes afterward--they left my skin feeling soothed and soft and got rid of any residual stickiness from the strips. i think i prefer the full-size strips, though. Been waxing at home for more than 15 years, and I ALWAYS use this wax. They’ve changed looks & recipes over the years, same great results. Huge money saver if you’re a constant waxer. My hair is very dark & hard to remove; even with professional waxing, they would miss spots and end up breaking the hairs with tweezers.
