Already my favorite fall boot, I took these right out of the box and put them on for the day!!! For someone with foot pain issues this is rare to say the least, but these boot were comfortable immediately. I feel they are very true to size as I ordered the M width and had no problem with roominess in the foot, but not having the annoying "heel slip" that some booties can have with a little width. They are of beautiful quality, well made, with a easy goldtone zipper on the instep. The heel height is just high enough to give me a little lift without being restrictive.I ordered the brown/black leopard print - a nuetral that will give my everyday jeans some cool, and my evening jeans some chic! Love love love them! They have a clean line and great shape, not too chunky, not too cowboy just very streamline and classy. My esthetician had these on in black and they looked great so I decided to order a pair too. I'm 5'3" and have not jumped onto the bootie fashion wagon because I thought it would make my legs look truncated (also I'm in my 50s and thought I was too young for the trend - not so). I saw these in the putty color and decided these may be a better spring choice and since they are so neutral they don't have the same "make your legs look cut off" effect. In fact I'm surprise at how easy they are to wear with skinny jeans, dresses and skirts - come summer I may try them with shorts too. I have teenage daughters in the house who veto my "inappropriate for your age" fashion decisions - these boots have their glowing stamp of approval! These look great. The putty color is a nice light gray and a good neutral to wear with many colors. I have wide feet and am an 8.5 in most shoes, sometimes a 9 in boots. I got 8.5s based on reviews and this is definitely the right size for me. 9s would be too large against my heel, despite the wide width of my foot. These are probably a regular width but a little snug for me. Not terribly uncomfortably so, however. The low heel makes it very walkable and comfortable. I would not recommend wearing them for a long period of time without tights though because when I wore them once with skinny jeans that ended right above the top of these for a half of a day, they rubbed against my skin right there at the top of the boot on my leg and almost caused a blister. I had thin low/invisible socks on under the boot so that helped with not allowing for foot blisters or problems. I will need to treat these with suede protectant spray as I feel like this color could show dirt easily. Overall, nice shoe. Now that I own them, I probably would order a similar looking boot (because their are so many) that comes in a wide width next time. Read more
These are gorgeous and the chocolate brown color is stunning! Although I am glad I bought them, I purchased a similar Athlefit boot here on Amazing. I stalked this particular boot online for weeks and weeks until I found such a great price on Amazon and could not resist ordering it for my birthday. I spared my husband the agony of buying me a present, as this is a sure shot thing that I know I'd love. So when I received the boots, I was so excited that it met all my expectations. I'm a true size 6 but there are times that some brands don't work out. This one felt true to size, both in length and width. The putty color is lovely and looks very stylish and versatile. I have outfits I imagined in my head that would look great with these booties. It's my first Sam Edelman, but I don't think it'll be my last. I might order this again in another color. I LOVE these boots, the quality is outstanding, even the box is a keeper! They are real pebble grain leather, the sole is exactly what I want BUT, sadly, so sadly, the 8.5 is too tight right where it starts to taper and the 9 is too long and my heal slips out of it when I walk. I guess I need an 8 3/4. I have to return both pairs and it really sucks! *Update, been wearing the 9's around the house, I'm still debating, may be cancelling my return on them. It is just so hard to find a great quality boot that is REAL leather, other brands are all man made and for way more money. I'd be crazy not to keep these! These boots look beautuful. However they are very stiff, uncomfortable and tight all around with unusual toe box and I have narrow feet. I’m so sad I have to return as they are just the style I like. Read more
