I got this because the USB-C port on my S22+ was beginning to wear and not hold a tight connection. The Samsung charging pad is more expensive than some other pads available here, but I liked the concept of a built-in fan and the way that the phone and the pad appear to work together. I've seen some comments here that the wireless charging is slower than wired. Well, that's just the nature of wireless charging. I've used wireless charging on some previous Samsung phones, so I wasn't surprised. Some people have complained that the charger cuts out or that it is hard to place the phone to get charging to start. I experienced both problems when I was trying to place the phone so that the camera bump wasn't in contact with the charger. I stopped being concerned about that and just placed the phone squarely on the pad. Charging as been 100% reliable since then. The charging process does generate heat, and excessive heat is bad for the battery. I found that my phone has an option for fast wireless charging. When I turned it off, it charged with just a bit of barely detectable warmth. As an added bonus, the fan in the charger base doesn't activate. Of course, there is a trade-off: charging is much slower. The phone charges at the rate of about 22%/hour. That may be unacceptable if it being charged during the day, but is more than sufficient for overnight charging. Read more
Probably the best built wireless charger on the market. Good materials and nice anti-slip rubber feet on the bottom. As a bonus, the fan runs only when needed, rather than continuously, which should extend service life. However the Amazon product description says "SUPER FAST WIRELESS CHARGING." That is incorrect, at least in my experience. I bought two of these, and plugging the kit's USB power cord directly into the phone's USB port does provide super-fast charging, BUT plugging the cord into the wireless charging base and setting the phone on that drops the charging speed down to "fast" speed, not super-fast. This is with two different S24 Ultra Samsung phones. Both chargers exhibit the same behavior, which is very likely normal. No star deduction for this, because I think it is an error in the product description. I've never personally seen a wireless charging base that provides super-fast charging. Got this as a gift for a family member. They enjoy it, but there are some minor things that would make it a better product. The wireless charging plate has that rim that extends up a little, if you have a thicker phone case, this is make it harder to connect and charge your phone. The plate was a little smaller than expected, but thats okay. The charge speed on it wasnt fast, but it wasnt slow either. If you put your phone down to charge it while doing other things, it comes in handy. The cable and brick that comes with it are fast charging, so if you need somethings charged quickly, you can unplug the plate and charge directly. The plate is plastic of course, and a lot of wireless chargers get very hot while charging. This plate has a small fan in it to help negate that. Over all, it is a good wireless charger and nice to have around the house while doing chores while you charge your phone. The phones used on this were a s24 and s24+. One had a thicker otter box case, and the other had a thinner case mate. Both didnt have a problem with connecting with it. Read more
Definitely worth the money. My daughter’s charging port on her Samsung phone was getting loose so I bought her this for wireless charging. It works great, is easy to use, seems to be well made, charges her phone perfectly, and is small enough to take with you when you travel. Read more
Does not support "Super Fast Wireless Charging" with S23. The back of the box even says (upon receiving it and reviewing it) compatible with S22 and down, but not up. Samsung seems to never have made an offical newer model wireless charger either - not that I can find on Amazon at least. When I connect my phone with it I only receive "Fast Wireless Charging". This is advertised as a Samsung "Super Fast Wireless Charger", but I do not receive Super Fast with the charger, only Fast. My S23 is compatible with Super Fast charging, and when using the plug in charger I get Super Fast Charging or Super Fast Charging 2.0, depending on the type/wattage of box and cable rating I'm using. Therefore, I know my phone is not the issue and I have all my correct settings turned on. Using the box and plugging the wire in directly to the phone gets me Super Fast (non-2.0). But placing it on the desk only gets me Fast. Using my 45W Samsung box plugged in gets me Super Fast 2.0. The ONLY reason I'm keeping this is because I bought it for a very specific purpose: My (almost) one year old is trying to eat the phone charger cords and putting them in her mouth. I won't have to worry about that with a wireless charger placed high up where she can't reach it. Still, I'm not satisfied with the way this product is marketed. Read more
Charging port in my Samsung galaxy went bad, so no matter what charging USB-C cable I used, it wouldn't charge. So I ordered this and the moment I placed the dead phone on the pad, it started charging right away. Read an article where it said, the phone has to be on for wireless charging but that's not true. Connects reliably even through my thick case. Do watch for the indicator light to come on just to be sure. Indicator light is not the "high-beam" night light of the old round puck charger. Just right. Missing: rubber grippy edge for use at angles other than level, though your case may accomplish that. Flat and compact enough for travel use.
