I'm really cheap, but I love to buy! I came across these "Renewed" buds, with good reviews, at a real good price (still more than I usually spend for like items) so, in part because of the Samsung name, and the noise cancelation feature, I decided to by them. I have not had much success with ear buds staying in my ears without a hook over the ear or a wing in the ear, but I found that if I wiped the ear wax and sweat out of my ear canal area these stay in my ears very well. I do a lot of walking near streets and the noise cancelation feature works absolutely great. It blocks out so much traffic noise that it's easy to listen to my audiobook without cranking up the volume too loud. And the fact that they rest in my ear instead of protruding out from my head, and no wire hanging around my neck, and with a bluetooth connection that stays connected (except when I drive off leaving my phone in the house) makes these Galaxy Buds2 a must-have in my arsenal if IT devices! UPDATE ... 2 years and 10 months later I STILL love these buds! They still hold a charge even longer than my 2-hour walks (without having to recharge in the case!), they sync without a problem to my Galaxy S21 Ultra every day when I open the case, the noise canceling still is the best I've ever tried, they're comfortable in my ears! "Renewed" or not, these are the best in-the-ear listening devices I've ever had, and over the past 15 years I've had many! Read more

Super high quality, these sound great, good bass, the noise cancelation was impressive although sometimes it's a little selective. I.e. it almost muted my dad cutting wood with an electric saw but I could here my dishes being clicked in the kitchen a little. The fit will probably be good for for but I think my ear canals are small because even with the smallest buds in the end, I have to work at them to get them to stay in but once they are in they are perfect. Verdict: happy with purchase Good: ear fit, comfort, noise canceling choices, app usefulness, and connectivity Not as good: sound quality, battery life, eating crunchy things, (possibly) initial set up I bought this refurbished. It arrived in original packaging with the buds, charging case, generic charging cord, and new set of silicone earpieces. It arrived earlier than expected. There were no blemishes (on a white set!) that I could see. First, you MUST download the galaxy buds app. You can change some of the settings for touch controls like adding taps for volume. You can customize the sound experience like bass boost or 360 experience. You can find lost buds as well as other things only through the app. It tells how much battery each bud as well as the case has left. You may have to create a Samsung account to sign on. Before I bought these, I tried two other styles of "cheap" ($40 ish) buds and just...couldn't get a good seal or they hurt after some time. I messed around with them for days and was never really excited about them. These FIT!!! perfectly right out of the box. There is also a test on the app for whether they fit correctly and will tell you whether you should adjust them or not. So a win for small ears! I also bought some memory foam replacement ends in case the silicone wasn't good enough but haven't needed to try them yet. I'm not an audiophile and mostly listen to podcasts or my Playlist from 2005. That being said, the sound quality, in my layman's opinion, are middling at best. I have a $50 set of over the ear headphones with better quality and much better bass boost, and even the off brand earbuds I tried had a better sound quality than these. That's not to say it's bad, but it wasn't a primary condition for my purchase and this aspect may be a disappointment for some. What I like most is the noise canceling settings. There's 3 to choose from: none, active canceling, and ambient. These can be adjusted in the app or by tapping. No noise canceling kinda muffles outside noises but obviously not a lot; about as much as wearing winter ear muffs maybe, but not as much as putting your fingers in your ears. The active noise canceling is about the same as wearing earplugs. You can kinda hear if someone is talking but only kinda and probably not at all if you have the volume up (which I never do). The ambient is neat. It's like selective noise canceling, and on the app you can adjust what pitch it seems to let through and how much for each ear individually. So, for example, I adjusted to pitch to be able to hear my SO talking, but the background radio music was barely audible. (Of course, you can reverse this if youd rather listen to the radio than your wife or small child.) This does mean I can have a conversation without taking the buds out and not shouting because I can hear my own voice. I've been told this is useful for phonecalls, but that's a feature I haven't used and have no opinion on. Speaking of hearing my own voice, if you're new to buds, it may be shocking what you DO hear. Do NOT eat captain crunch without your anime subtitles on. It really is similar to earplugs in that it dims outside noises but suddenly your own inside noises are turned up a notch. If it's quiet enough I can hear my heartbeat through my ears and whatever I'm chewing on is LOUD. If you like the payphone scene in Fight Club, this style of headphones is for you! If not, put down the doritos before making a phone call. Those with misophonia beware. Next, battery life. I'm spoiled with an "80 hrs with bass boost" set of over the ear headphones that I might recharge every couple days. The buds I usually use with the active noise canceling (most energy usage) and I get maaaybe 6 hours, but usually 4 from fully charged (also depending on volume). So that's a bit disappointing. The case can recharge the buds to full a couple times before it also needs charged. Of course, unlike regular wireless headphones, there's no corded option if the battery dies, so if you want them for all day be prepared to stop and charge them a few times. There's always the option to use one earbud at a time while the other is charging if you want a more continuous experience. If you do that you might need to go in the app and change whether the touch controls work or not as they default to No touch settings with just one bud (meaning you can't tap to the next song with just one bud in unless you specifically enable that setting) As for connectivity, occasionally they don't want to connect when I first take them out of the case or if I drop the connection for long enough that they turn off, so I just pair manually. Otherwise the range is good. I can have my tablet in the living room and still connected all through the house and even outside a few feet. This is much better than the less expensive off brands, and about the same as my over the ear headphones. There's an option on the app to automatically switch devices as you move around, but I haven't tried that yet. Sometimes the touch sensitivity is weird and doesn't register the correct number of taps, but I'd rather that than other oversensitive ones that pause or skip songs in a light breeze or if you look at them funny. On the whole, I'm very happy with these. They fit, do everything I want, and have lots of customization. With Amazon's return policy, they are definitely worth trying. Read more

I have been using these for about 1 month now and I have to say that I prefer to listen to music on these than my iPod pros. Comparing the two. These have better battery life (for now) and they have EQ setting, which make a huge difference. Only thing these are lacking in is phone call quality, which when I switch over to the pros. Over all great buy, I love these for my everyday music. Read more

You can't tell that they're refurbrished, because the buds felt brand new? They came in the original packaging, with it's seal still in tact. So I honestly think it was open box, as opposed to being used. They work amazingly well. Don't pay full price for buds you're going to lose anyway. These are amazing. Thank you. Read more
