Consumer Reports rates this vacuum as one of the highest cordless stick vacs, so I took the plunge and purchase it. It doesn't have fancy dirt finding lights like on cheaper vacs but boy does this thing suck! I am amazed at the amount of dirt and pet hair I vacuum up every time it's used. Just wish the dirt cup was larger. Easy to empty and clean the dirt cup. It charges quickly in its wall hanging caddy. I love the time estimate of battery life remaining. I can get about 35 minutes on medium power vacuuming carpets. I switch to low power on the hardwood floors and have never run the battery completely down. Read more

Vacuum works fine but battery runs out FAST. Samsung charges MORE THAN THE COST OF A NEW vacuum for a new battery! Several vendors said SAMSUNG SCAMS their customers by not making replacement parts or charging more than a new unit. Forces customers to throw away product like a used razor blade and buy another new. Worse: Spent hours searching for a replacement/backup battery online. Got the wrong one from Amazon vendor. They refer to Lowe’s and Best Buy. Neither carry the product. Terrible mess and waste of time. When they do have it, they gouge their customers. Will never again purchase Samsung product. Read more

I had been using my "good-old" Shark upright for many years. It was excellent however, being corded and heavy it was a pain to use in certain situations. I finally broke down and bought this Stick from Samsung. I wish I had done years earlier. I like many things about it, but probably number one is the charging setup. The charger is placed on the wall and serves as the storage place at the same time. To use it, just pick it up and start vacuuming. It begins always on Medium power but there is two other settings that I have not needed as yet. Cleaning the cotents out is also a big change from the shark. Simply take the container off, dump it and wash it and your done! I had bought a cheaper model at the same time as I purchased this one to compare. There was a difference, trust me. I prefer this to the Dyson sticks. It’s lighter and a smoother debris pickup (no spraying stuff everywhere). Really good suction power and battery for my small home with hard floors and rugs (with dog hair). I wish the dust bin release was simpler and it didn’t suck up lighter rugs (I turn down the suction or use handheld now) but I’ll take those over issues I had with Dyson overall! Read more
