This is an excellent board equipped with quality components. The actual board is as the pictures show, although on mine it is like the rasta land shark in that it has a bottle opener. The wheels are similar and are still the same brand and size although they are completely see through now and have no decal just writing in the same translucent style as the wheel (Blue). I was at first concerned before receiving the board that the bearings would be poor and whilst they dont spin as freely as Bones reds (board lifted off the ground) on they roard they have great spin and are extremely smooth, in that a push will keep the board rolling for a good amount of time. Turning is quite good and the board and trucks are very responsive as would be expected. The white grip tape gets dirty quite easily, although that's not a great concern of mine. The kick tail please note is not for tricks (can't ollie). this board is excellent as a cruiser especially around the streets and the large wheels easily run over sticks and stones and even pavement cracks within a reasonable limit (far better than your average trick board). The SC Land Shark has been a great Cruzer!!!! I originally purchased this at the special price of $70 as a Christmas gift for my son. He didn't take any interest in this board and would rather ride the modern boards. So Dad started using it for cruising around the neighborhood and using it for Beer runs to the local Kwik-E-Mart. The board is fast, nimble, small and light transportation for carrying out errands or picking up take out from a restaurant down the street. For the current price, one of the other SC Cruzers might be a better deal and more rideable board which you can also do some tricks and slides cruising around. However, if sold for the special price again, you can't beat the specs on the board. Real SC quality deck with bullet trucks (price point trucks), ABEC 3 or 5 bearings, and the fast wheels. Having a built in bottle opener is an added bonus to open up your favorite beverage. Recommended upgrades are: Change out the standard bullet truck bushings with Bones Bushings (Med or Hard) and Bones Red bearings. Read more

Am a "newby" to skateboarding - got this board to go skating with my son. Its great! Very smooth ride, picks up speed fast. Wheels are wide & soft & great for riding pavements & street (I don't go flying off it if I hit a pebble or something on the road). Doesn't make a huge amount of noise when riding either, which is good as no-one is alerted to the "gumby" parent attempting to learn to skate! :) Son likes it too. Nice colours & design. I just got this board 2 days ago and it looks better than it does in the picture! The picture doesn't do it justice. I think they upgraded the board as well because it also comes with the bottle opener (just like the rasta board). I must say that I really enjoy that feature there!! It's such a nice (and random) touch to the board! I am very impressed by this board. I am a new rider, and I wanted to find a cruzer board to ride around campus because I don't want to walk everywhere anymore. This board is amazing. It rides very well, and the quality is exceptional esp. for the price it's being offered at on Amazon. There is nothing I do not like about this board, and all my friends that have been riding longboards/skateboards/cruzers for years also said that this board a great board. When I first opened the box on this bad boy, I was a bit disappointed. Mine looked like it had been used before, with scratches on the deck and trucks, but it was nothing major. I figured it would get like this in time anyways. And the graphics on top and bottom look sweet. Also, the wheels are different road riders, and they look a bit bigger than the ones in the picture. They are just a plain blue, and almost seem like longboard wheels. But they're still good wheels. Any gripes I had about the board at first melted away when I took it for a spin down the hill by my house and cruised around for some time. Turning is smooth and almost effortless. The wheels are super quiet even on the roughest pavement. The kick tail is good for turning and getting up small bumps like uneven pavement or rocks etc. speaking of rocks, I hit a decent sized one going down the hill at about 20mph and the wheels just kicked it out of the way, which would've been a disaster with normal skate wheels. And when I got back I popped open a cold one with the bottle opener. Overall a good buy even though it seemed like it might've not been at first. Get it now if you want a good little cruiser!
