This shirt is surprisingly flattering! I ordered mine in beige and size large; I’m 5’ and 160lbs. I found the shirt to fit true to size. I ordered this shirt on a whim, fully expecting it not to look good on me and end up being donated. But as I said before, this shirt accomplishes this sleeve style in a way that doesn’t make my arms look larger than they are. The material is thin knit and primarily cotton, so it breathes really well and feels soft on the skin. The color of the shirt is true to the product photo (at least for the beige). I really like that the top isn’t too bulky. The thinness allows the shirt to sit flatteringly across my shoulders and on my hips/waist area. Though there are small openings in the knit style, I would say wearing a tank underneath is optional. If you have a bra that is white or "your skin" color, it should look fine. In my review photo, I’m wearing black undergarments, and I don’t think it’s obvious. I wasn't sure how I would feel about having a sweater with cropped sleeves. I am 47 years old, 5' 4", 134 lbs, and don't love showing my upper arms. This sweater absolutely surprised me in the best way! The quality of the material is heavy, and actually feels like a sweater. I've found that in more recent years, the sweaters I've ordered online, tend to be thinner and almost slick fabric. This is a true sweater knit and is the perfect thickness for wearing alone, or under a jacket. I ordered the size medium, which is just a bit baggy on me, but I think that is supposed to be the way it is styled. It lands just below the waistline, so it works really well with a high waisted pant. The cropped sleeves actually look really cute and I can see myself wearing this on a summer evening, just by itself. I have only washed it twice, but the colors have stayed vibrant and I have not any issues with shrinkage. I do lay it flat to air dry. I ordered this for my daughter, who loves sweaters in all seasons. She is 11 and generally wears a women's 4-6, and the size "small" was a good fit for her. The fabric is light with a true crochet look, meaning it also has lots of holes/gaps by design (and needs an undershirt of some kind if you don't want visibility to what you're wearing--or not wearing--underneath). It is holding up to regular wear and machine washing without anything tearing or falling apart. I only disagree with the MSRP price point--the quality and construction is more aligned with a $20 shirt than $30, but chances are if you're buying it there is a coupon or sale being offered that wasn't there for those ordering it first. I like this shirt. It is comfortable and fits really well. The fabric is soft and thin. It’s thin enough that I would be able to wear it in the heat of the summer. I think that the shirt could be a little bit more form fitting, but I do like the way that it fits. I am a size medium and I ordered a size medium, and I feel like this size is true to fit.
