I have many up to date PCs in the house. I build them for a hobby. I have 3 high end gaming PCs operational (for 4K Ultra settings); and, I have a couple others for 1440p Ultra Settings in games I play. I needed a "short 2 Fan card". I got the card at a good price. I put it in my new Business PC (fully up to date -- all AMD). I tested it for Gaming at 1440p Ultra settings in a couple RPG games I like -- Fallout 3 goty and Assassin's Creed Valhalla. I tested at "box stock" settings. No attempt to "improve" box stock performance. One old game and one newer -- but, not the most stringent test. I was surprised at the high 1440p frame rates during my limited tests (all above 80FPS). I also tried a selection of 3DMark tests (some older and some up to date). The frame rates in 3DMark indicate a good card for 1440p Ultra gaming -- with frame rates likely to be in the 60fps range or more (as I noted in the above tests). 60fps is all my eyes need. My testing was not thorough enough for me to guarantee you will have the same results or that your eyes will be satisfied with the frame rates; but, I'm happier than I expected to be. 5 stars in my PC FWIW. It's a good GPU but you can definitely use all 8gb of vram pretty easily, other than just having to turn texture settings down it performs great, every game I've played I've gotten over 60fps with medium to high settings at 1440p.
