Works, But a Few Annoyances
The adapter does what it’s supposed to—connects my 2.5” and 3.5” drives easily, and the USB 3.0 connection is fast enough for most transfers. I like that it comes with a power supply for the bigger drives. The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the power adapter is a bit bulky, and the setup can feel fiddly at times. Once it’s connected, it works fine, but it’s not super plug-and-play. Still a good option if you need something reliable for occasional drive access. Read more

DVD drive compatibility
This has been super useful! I was able to setup my DVD drive for my computer externally, the powersupply that came with the adapter is wonderful since it has 12v 2a, plenty of power for your DVD drive and other sata devices you have. I loved that it's angled allowing me to save space on my desk. I've used it to burn & rip movies and it does a wonderful job. I have used it on other sata devices but really, this is product is really good for making a DVD drive external. Read more
