I watch beatem ups on YouTube, saw this on the videos for years and thought about getting it. It looks 3d printed but still quite worth it. I dont cramp in my hands while playing switch 2 and it works well for comfort. Going on trips majes it worth it now. I didn't purchase a case because they were out of them but I can just take it out since I owned one anyways. It charges easily since you can put it on the dock, and it reaches both charge ports on the switch 2. Satisfye has nailed it with this accessory. The big selling point, the ergonomic grips, are fantastic. The plastic is grippy, not slick and cheap-feeling like so many other products, and the weird positioning of the handles themselves may look funny, but oh...... just wait til this thing is in your hands! Everything, absolutely everything with your hands aligns beautifully with your Switch's controls -- it's like your hands are sitting in a comfy armchair with a built-in massager. The little joystick rubber add-on thingies are actually quite nice too: they make the sticks easier to "find" with your thumbs and have a nice, grippy tactile feel which makes inputs easy with no slippage. This thing does act as a stand, too, though you'll have to use a very flat surface for it to work, which is fine (I've tried so many times to find some way to balance it on the arm of my recliner to no avail). The only, tiny, picky thing I could wish for might be those handy card game slots across the back like some other products have? Bah, such a small thing. This grip is my second favorite Switch accessory out there so far, second only to the HORI Split Pad Pro. But if you don't want to drop the $50 for that thing and/or like the Joy-Con controls as they are but want a more comfortable way to play in handheld mode, then... Get. This. Now. I’ve always found the switch to be uncomfortable while in portable mode. The overall shape of the joycons, analog sticks, and buttons are just not conducive to extended play sessions. Since I’ve been playing my Switch much more frequently recently, I decided to look into what kind of gaming grips were available that could alleviate this problem. I ordered both the Hori Split Pad Pro and this Satisfye. I kept the Satisfye and returned the Hori. Positives - The shape is downright perfect. It completely fixes the angle between the wrist and handle, virtually eliminating the strain that this causes. They’ve also made the shape of each side different so you can comfortably reach both the buttons and analog stick on the right side. - Rubberizing the grip was a great idea. Makes it really easy to hold the system in a variety of positions - Slides on and off the system easily while still maintaining a high level of grip on the Switch - Also provides a table stand if you’re so inclined - Allows you to use all the features of the stock joycons without issue Negatives - Cannot be left on the system while docked, though I imagine you could get one of those switch dock extension cables or replacement dock shells to make it work. - Does nothing for the size and shape of the buttons, analog sticks, etc. The Satisfye grip gets an easy recommendation from me and I even consider it a must-buy for anyone who spends considerable time playing their Switch in portable mode. I ended up doing the Basstop D-pad shell swap on my left joycon to get a D-pad and will be also doing the dock swap from the same company. So that knocks out a couple of the advantages from the Hori while keeping all the advantages from the Satisfye. Read more
Purchased this product for my spouse and myself who have found a bit more gaming time with all of the social distancing taking place. This has been a great addition for when gaming in hand held mode for longer periods of time. Positives: Great build quality for the grip. The switch sits in the grip fairly snugly so I never feel like it is going to slip out. The back of the grip where your hands will be has a nice texture to it so if your hands get sweaty the grip will not slide in your hand. Overall the product is fairly light so your not fatigued holding for long periods of time. Negatives: The only real negative I can think of is the possibly the price point. I was able to get this product on sale which made it an easier decision. It is a bit pricey for a peripheral but it is something that you will get use out of for the life of your console. For the added comfort over years of play it evens out. Additionally, the bonus added thumb sticks in the package are an additional value. These are comparable to the thumb sticks you would get from other retailers such as Kontrol Freek, good build quality on those as well. . Overall great product that greatly increases comfort for handheld play. A must for the Switch enthusiast. Read more
