Savane Mens Pleated Select Edition Crosshatch Dress Pant

I've always preferred the pleated front and light weight dress pants and I've found these to fit nicely and have a nice price. I'm 6'1", 225 lbs with an older athletic build and these are comfortable and not binding or tight in the hips. They are comfortable in the waist, don't require ironing after coming out of the drier and last for about a year with weekly usage/washings. The crease fads away after a couple of months so I'd like to find a way to reapply the crease without requiring me to iron them for each use, but I haven't looked real hard yet for a solution. I've been buying the Louis Raphael for a while now and they seem to be in short supply in the size/color I prefer so, having bought the Savane brand at Stein Mart in the past, gave these a try. I wear these to work or church and they're fine for business casual and perhaps with a sport coat. But they're not upper end dress slacks. Still, they're surprisingly good for their modest cost and I'm pleased with the fit and the overall quality. The comfort band waist band has a less "give" than most, which I prefer because the fit is more secure. Crease is razor sharp and holds its sharpness through cleaning cycles (disclaimer: I use the dry cleaning sheets in the dryer or take them to the cleaner; I don't machine wash anything but jeans). The attention to detail is good too; no loose threads or other little bits that one sometimes sees on other inexpensive slacks. Read more

Love these pants. They are thin which is good for me since I am hot natured. They have the expandable hidden waist which is a must for me. The reviews said the run long so I got a 32' length. 33" is perfect for me so I usually get 34". These ran a little long for a 32. I am 6' and 220 pounds, and these are a little snug in the thighs but still comfortable, and I would buy the same size again. They re polyester and look more like suit pants than work pants, so it is an upgrade for my office job. I had no problem with lint or wrinkles. Read more

These are really comfortable pants. For the first time in my life I am a big dude. 6"1 285 lbs. I never in life had to go over a 42W 32L I had back surgery and 2 years later I have a broken screw from it, so no matter how much salad you eat you will gain weight. I was looking for a comfort that I had when I did not have the weight on. These pants are really roomy and perfectly cut. I tried these pants when I was 220 Lbs and now that I an 285 These pants feel the same. When I buy dress pants what I look for is quality, comfort and hang room. These pants cover all three. My original order was for a pair of 34x34. The waist measurement was accurate but they seemed to ride a little high - almost floss-like. Sitting down was an unpleasant experience, to say the least. The seat and thighs were way too tight, the crotch cut off circulation, and the cuffs rode up almost to my knees. I exchanged for a 36x34 and the fit was much better, although as expected quite loose in the waist. Maybe I've got an odd shape - it seems most pants fit best with a larger waist than I measure. Overall I think they will be a great pair of summer pants - the material seems to breathe and flow very well. The pleats and cuffs are stylish and provide good accents. I have five pair of these pants in different colors and they are hands-down the most comfortable and best-looking dress/casual pants I own. I got the 34" length, however, and it was just too long. I ordered several pair with the 32" length and they are perfect. I am 6', 225 and wear a 38/32, which fits nicely. Instead of returning these, I just took them to the alteration place. They feel great, fit great, look great---as I said, the best pair of dress/casual pants I own. And, at $25, I feel like I stole them. Read more

my husband has used this kind of pants for more than 10 years, they are excellent and we have send them to the cleaners besides they are able to be machine washed. The elastic bamd has an excellent quality and some of his old pants still has it in excellent condition. They have deep pockets and the keys and coins have not damage the material like other pants. The price is excellent for the upmost quality and the only suggestion my husband has would be to add some kind of inner cloth in the tight area like elegant or designers pants come. He will happy paid the extracost. I do not know if they already exist and if someone knows it I would truly appreciate the answer. The most difficult to get are the black ones and I realize the company call them "caviar" color. Besides that they are microfiber they are really fresh and let the air to circulate. My,nhusband uses them with pants suspenders and they looks great. I will keep buying them, so far I read about some changes that another fellow reviewer mention but so far my husband has not noted or complain about. They are easier to get trough Amazon because I tried to buy them on the local stores and they seems carry them no more, thats very dissapointing. Read more

Previously, Savane brand comfort waist slackes have always proven to be exceptional in waist fit at 42" waist. the recently received 3 pants do not have the comfort of loose waist fit as experienced in other Savane. I believe that the pants overall are very well made out of nice material. I probably will try to make do as I'm certain that the next waist size will be too large. Had I gone into dept store and tried on, I'm sure that I would not have purchased same. Read more
