Scarab Baritone Jaw Harp - High Quality Mouth Musical Instrument with Rich Sound

After extensive use to include a cross-country road trip - both the harp and the case are holding strong. Solid construction and worked to a T - it's definitely enjoyable. It's easy to pick up, literally and figuratively. Even though the case is used far less now days - it still works perfectly for travel. The only negative point I can even say is that the bend of the reed is sharp and can catch the unwary lip... that and I can't quite seem to find the tune to make the burrowing beetles dance in this neck of the woods - but that's on me not the harp. Great Harp, Awesome sound, but the Case came undone twice, and the second time I lost it... First the knot came loose, then the second time the bead came loose, so It was faulty on separate occasions. Hope to get a replacement. Read more

it's loud, it's well made, and it got here pretty fast. One of the other reviews said the case fell apart, it's one nylon string, when I got it I used a lighter to seal the tied end together so it will never come apart. I haven't had any issues. Read more

I've played a lot of jaw harps out there... Different styles, different prices, different materials. This is by far one of the best. It's extremely solid, I like the weight to it, and the sound is spectacular. Very responsive and easy to play (once you get the hang of it.) If you are just getting started or not too experienced, there will be painful moments as it can hit your teeth or even nip your lip.
