So far, I’m pretty happy with this! I already own a regular steam mop by this brand plus a different brand of steam cleaner and also a big name branded vac-steam mop. I can confidently say that this steamer blows my other steam cleaner away. My old one was actually scary but this one doesn’t get a burning smell when I use it nor does the handle and hose get overly hot. It does get warm and I wouldn’t grab it while it’s on but it’s absolutely safer than my other one. Compared to my Schenley mop, this one works faster (as a mop). The steam is much more pronounced and I barely have to scrub the spots on my floor to remove them. The water capacity is enough to mop my whole house plus use the steaming options to clean the bathroom, kitchen and baseboards and windows. Honestly, the only issue I do have is the strap/handle isn’t long enough so when lifting the base, it kind of hangs sideways. Also, I think the wheels could be bigger because if I tug on it too hard while moving around the room, it looks like it could tip over. I rectify this by just moving slowly and with intention (as opposed to just blindly taking on the hose. I plan on getting rid of my old multi purpose steamer and just using this one. My big name branded vac/steam mop isn’t even worth the trouble as you need to vacuum prior to using the steaming options anyway. So I’d say this product is a great option! Read more
My floors finally feel clean again! I have tried many different types of mop. Vacuum, steam with the tank attached, swiffer, conventional. Nothing felt like it cleaned my floors very well. I’m so glad I made the switch over from the push mop with the tank attached to this one. With the tank attached, they get so heavy that I find myself hating mopping. It’s so much easier to have a lightweight wand and lug the unit along behind you. There is a lot to like about this mop. The strap is sturdy and works well to lug it around. The capacity of the tank is pretty good. My past steam mops have taught me to always use distilled water, so that’s what I exclusively use with this. It comes with so many accessories that I’m actually excited to get after cleaning some nooks and crannies that are gross and need a good steaming. It being a cute black and pink doesn’t hurt its cause either. If I could change anything, it’d be to make it have a recoiling cord instead of having to wrap the cord around manually. I’d also include a draw string bag for all the accessories (I’m really surprised it didn’t come with one). Read more
Despite being labeled portable, this thing is a hassle to carry between floors. The wheels roll okay on hard floors but get stuck on rugs and thresholds. The cord wrap is poorly designed—it kept coming loose. The ergonomic handle is comfortable, but the overall weight makes it feel more like a burden than a convenient tool. Read more
I have a much smaller, steam mop that I have used for years to steam clean my floors and rugs, but it's not that versatile, so it has it's limits. I also have a smaller, steamer with attatchments that does a pretty good job, the as it's small, I end up having to fill it up a few times during big jobs. Enter the Schenley, it comes with 21 accessories that come in handy for so much! Assembly didn't take too long so I filled it up and decided to give it a go on my kitchen floor and bathroom floors. Like my other steam mop, it's best if you move this slowly across what you are trying to clean, allowing it to linger for a few seconds before moving. This will allow the steam to penetrate and clean better. Now with my Mop, it heats up the water pretty quickly, within a minute or two, but it is not high presure. This does take a good 5 to 7 minutes for it to heat the water and provide steam. The cord length is perfect and I love that you don't have to carry or hold on to the water tank, just move it around; which is really easy since it has wheels. I have to say that overall, it does a fantastic job; I especially enjoyed the grout tool. The long handle makes it very easy to clean much more than your standard floor. It also did a great job of breaking down the grease on my stovetop, cleaning the shower stall and tub and the glass door. Overall, I am very impressed with this little thing. Small, but mighty and the high pressure steam is a huge improvement over my old steam mop. Read more
This review is for the Schenley 21-in-1 Steam Cleaner, High-Pressure Heavy-Duty Steamer for Deep Cleaning Floors, Tiles, Upholstery, Grout, Grill and Cars, Fast Heat-Up, Large Water Tank, Multi-Purpose, Portable Design. This steamer has been great so far. It heats up quickly and puts out steady pressure, and everything I’ve used it on, floors, grout, and random spots around the house has come out looking noticeably cleaner. The attachments are actually useful and there’s a good variety depending on what you’re cleaning. The long hose is one of my favorite parts. My old steamer had a short hose that made everything awkward and tiring, especially when trying to reach corners or work around furniture. This one gives you plenty of room to move without having to drag the whole unit around constantly. I also stick to distilled water, which helps avoid that mildewy smell steamers can get over time. The water tank is a good size, so you’re not stopping every few minutes to refill. Overall, though, it’s easy to use, heats fast, and actually gets things clean. Read more
