After trying several natural deodorants that either didn’t work well or made my skin itchy, Schmidt’s has been the one that finally worked for me. I’ve been using it for a while now and keep coming back to it. The scents are one of my favorite things about this brand. They smell fresh and natural without being overpowering, and there are several great options to choose from. Most importantly, it’s actually effective. I stay fresh throughout the day, which hasn’t always been my experience with natural deodorants. It’s easy to apply, not too sticky, and it’s the same size as regular deodorants. I bought this several months back after reading mixed reviews. I sweat constantly (good ol’ menopause!) and have to reapply my deodorant throughout the day. I read that this didn’t work for some and figured I’d be in that same category. Thankfully, I was not. This is the only deodorant I will use from now on. I apply it first thing in the morning, and it actually lasts all day. No icky sweaty pits halfway through the day. No wet underarms and people asking me “are you ok?” because of how wet my shirt is under my arms. I even apply it under my “ta ta’s” to stop the dreaded “boob sweat”. It’s hotter than hell right now where I live, and my bras don’t smell like a sweaty ass when I take them off at night. For me, in the midst of menopausal hell, this has been the only deodorant I’ve tried that really works. I’ve only tried the rose smelling one, but really don’t smell the rose. This works very well for me and my daughter. Most natural deodorants do not help me; as a matter fact, they tend to make the problem worse, adding insult injury. I don’t know how adding baking soda and salt can make me smell worse at my worst moments, but somehow it does. I eat fairly healthfully, limiting my sugar and simple carbs. Long ago, I realized when I eat sugar or starches, the sweat under my arms changes and smells badly. That tells me that junk food adjusts my pH, and is feeding bad bacteria. However, even when I am eating very helpfully, most natural deodorants magnify an odor that normally wouldn’t be there, for me. I think that may tell me there’s something in the deodorant itself that is disturbing the balance of good versus harmful bacteria on my skin, and in my body. This brand does not cause that problem for me. This has a fragrance that is just the right strength: not overpowering, and not so weak you might as well have bought “unscented”. I can tell I’m beginning to stress when I can smell the roses, lol—then I know to evaluate my emotions and calm myself down. It lasts all day and all night. I’m not sure I would trust it for two whole days and nights, though. It’s the right consistency: a little does go a long way, and I appreciate that. It’s also easy to spread in the winter, and not too mushy and all over the place in the summer. I also find it easily washes out of my clothes. No waxy residue on my sweaters if I didn’t use enough soap. Their older formula, used a decade ago—or maybe it had something to do with the fragrance oils they used—was harder to wash out. Read more
this goes on easy and lasts. It does not leave you smelling like other natural deodorants do. I have had no difficulties washing it out of shirts. I find the smell pleasant and the consistency, although thicker than traditional deodorant, is not cakey and feel good all day. i have NOT found i needed to reapply. Read more
My wife was searching for a deodorant that offers cleaner ingredients, and we found one that definitely fits the bill. This deodorant does a fantastic job at controlling both odor and sweat. She has been using it for a few months now with no skin irritation, and it goes on smoothly. Additionally, it has a great scent that my wife absolutely loves! Absolute best deodorant my family with sensitive pits has come across!!! All day and night B.O. prevention!! Without any burning or itching or rash of any kind!! I prefer this rose and vanilla scent and my boys prefer the citrus!! Best all natural deodorant!! Beyond happy to finally find one that actually works amazing!! I Highly recommend to people with aluminum allergies or sensitive skin! I love that they come in a two pack and last a long time!! They are kind of a sticky texture going on, but I apply after being dressed and they haven't left any residue on my clothes and don't leave your pits feeling sticky, it feels dry almost instantly!
