I like the copper brown trim on this black backpack making it stand out in a sea of solid black backpacks. The waterproof material makes it easy for me to keep clean and my items dry. It has adequate padding on the back—I can't say the back padding is super thick enough for fragile items to sustain a major drop, but it is adequate. It has ergonomic shoulder straps that I feel are well padded. I carry this backpack in lieu of a laptop bag because it's easier to carry with the weight distributed on both sides of my body. There's a laptop pocket (I keep my Macbook Air in it) and sections for other items. Both sides of the backpack have water bottle pockets that are wide enough to hold my 30oz Stanley, but I wish they were a little deeper. Also, there is a key strap inside of the front pocket. I think it would be nice to see this backpack offered with different color options for the trim. Overall, I like the look and comfortability when wearing it. It feels smooth and durable. Update 8/27/25: I still love this backpack and use it almost daily. It feels so comfortable to wear. I was disappointed to see how one side of the hanging loop had come loose at the seam (see photo). I was able to repair it, but now I feel I have to handle the loop more gently. I'm taking off a star for that reason. Read more
