I actually have not used this on my car but on a random strangers car at a gas station and my son’s car as well. It had been sitting for months in my car and I was very impressed that it worked as designed. My son’s no name Chinese brand charger could not get the job done and would not take a charge. Schumacher makes a great product and yeah it costs a little more but in my opinion, it’s worth it. Read more
So far so good, just remember to set up a recurring note on your phone to check charge every 3 months or so to ensure function when needed! Really like the longer cables that you don’t get on other brands. Heavier cable is also used to handle the load! RAV4 Hybrid has a ground connection on other side of the engine and this will reach! I haven't had a chance to jump start a car with this yet, but here are pros and cons of the unit as I see it so far. I bought this model because of the long leads. Our recently purchased 2024 Rav4 Hybrid LE recommends jump starting using a positive terminal and grounding point under the hood. Those are 40" apart. With a 24" length to each lead (unit to clamp tip), this jump starter easily reaches between those points. (See picture.) The jump starter comes with a 12V dc car plug to USB-C cable, and a USB-A to USB-C cable, for charging the unit. The USB-C end goes into the jump starter, and you supply the USB-A charging block. I tried using an Apple USC-C charging block but the jump starter did not charge using a USB-C to USB-C cable. So when I received the jump starter I charged it overnight using my little 1 amp USB-A charging block. That worked fine. 1 amp is under powered but it works. It is recommended that you recharge the jump starter once a month. After 2 months I checked its charge. On startup 4 charge bars were displayed meaning it had over 75% charge. I plugged it into the 1 amp charger and it came to full charge in about 40 minutes; not bad. Remember, 1 amp is really low for charging this. The directions give times for a 2 amp charger. The jump starter also comes with a bag that stores the unit, cables and directions. That fits nicely next to the spare tire in the back of our Rav4. The only con is the buttons. The Power/Light button looks like its split with power on one side and light control on the other; but it is one button. You press the button longer to turn the light on, then press quickly to go through the modes, and a second long press turns the light off. Same with the Jump start/Override button. A short press turns on the jump start, and a 5 second press puts the unit into Override mode. The symbols on the button are not particularly meaningful to me (an engine and a resistor), and the symbols are not printed in the instructions. It is up to you to make the association between the symbols and directions. Given that, and the hope that I won't have to be using this too often, I will definitely keep the paper instructions in the bag with the unit and review them before using. Read more

I own a few battery jumpers; most are Weego 44's (excellent product too). I had to buy this one since the cables are extra long; where the Weego were not and could not reach the jumper terminals in our engine bay. This is very simple to use; especially this newer model. The long jumpers reach between the jump points in my wife's 2025 Lexus RX350h engine bay. A must have product to avoid being stranded from a dead battery. Read more
