This tank is not as good as the OEM part.
Hi everyone. I received the coolant tank today. First thing I noticed is that it is very light, almost half of the weight of the OEM tank. The plastic feels not as thick and in many places the imperfections from the manufacturing process can be seen. The can doesn't tighten as good as the OEM, it feels flimsy! Also the hose connection at the bottom has the standard diameter as the OEM part, but it gets narrower as you get further inside. All that said I have not tried this tank on the car yet, let's hope it all works out! Read more

Fit perfect, well built.
REplaced the timing belt on my 2004 TDI Jetta. The plastic nipple on the top of this tank was cracked so I replaced it. The 2 electrical spades that the level alarm plugs into were just a tad longer than the original tank so I had to dremel them down just a tiny bit to get the electrical connector to engage the locking tab.
