Ear cleaner This feels so weird .. yet satisfying. Great for blockage issues used with wax softener like Debrox. Also, great after hot shower, helps heat softened wax come out rather than push it back in. It is really best to keep cotton swab use to the external ear to dry and clean OUTSIDE the canal. - ESPECIALLY true when involved in dusty work OR play which can significantly increase the chance of earwax blocking your eardrum - dust & debris stick to the wax, cause it to harden & build up-leading to muffled hearing, feeling of ear fullness, pain, and even temporary hearing loss. Earwax naturally traps these particles, but excessive exposure in dusty environments can overwhelm the system. I learned this the hard way while installing my long gravel driveway. Using q-tips was only making it drier compacting it apparently. This unit is very beneficial and could prevent these kinds of blockages. The cup fits against the head -creates a perfect seal. Both me a& my hubby use this (very different sized ears & head shape), sealing of the outer cup is perfect for both & inner tip aligned perfectly + the cup keeps the tip from being over inserted. There are several intensities - the water sort of pulsates so its not just driving stuff deeper in. For maximum benefit the manual does recommend ear wax sofnener ( like debrox ) before use. Day to day(not everyday) Ive found a quick blast after hot shower works well to clear softened wax thats on its way out already - the driying effect of the cotton is really counter productive - this works better. I often know I am getting sand and dust in my ears while working around trucks dumping gravel, near windy beach areas etc. On day 3 of my driveway one ear plugged completely- my face went numb , vertigo set in immediately it was a really weird feeling- thought I was having a stroke🤣. My ears often hurt after doing gritty work and working outside- that the warning!! This is a game changer 100%. I definately do recommend this to anyone involved in airborine, dusty, gritty work, and those playing outdoors in windy sandy areas like the beach. Any fullness of the ear or aching is better addressed with this type of device. I feel this is safer than cotton swabs. I’ve never used a powered earwax removal tool before, and I was curious to see how well this tool works. I was a bit concerned about the potential for the water exiting my ears to end up all over my neck and the surrounding areas, so I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the silicon seal mechanism works extremely well. It’s remarkably easy to use this tool. Simply twist off the water reservoir at the bottom, fill it with warm water, then twist it back on and place the silicon shield over your ear, positioning it so the tip of the irrigator is positioned inside your ear. As long as you’re pressing the silicon shield against the side of your head, all of the water flowing out of your ear is captured in the dirty water reservoir. I literally didn’t have any mess afterwards. I wasn’t quite sure what temperature water I should use, but I tried to get it to close to the temperature I would use in the shower while letting water jet into my ears. The temperature sensor on the tool removes any anxiety about this… if the LED glows white when you re-attach the water reservoir, you’re in the safe range. I started using it on its lowest setting. The pulsing water sounds and feels a little odd at first, but it’s not painful or unpleasant. I could definitely feel the water penetrating deep into my ear canal. It’s far more effective than what I get when using my shower method. When I was done, most of the water had drained out of my ear on its own, but I found that I did need to use the included squeeze bulb to remove the last bit of water. Cleaning up the machine was very simple… all I had to do was dump out the dirty water reservoir and rinse it out. Despite my initial skepticism, this turned out to be a surprisingly simple and quick method of cleaning out my ears. I was expecting it to be a lot messier and more time consuming than it actually is, so I can see how this could be a grooming procedure I do periodically without having to worry about setting aside a bunch of extra time for it.
