Worked for what I needed, but be aware, it is not constant voltage. It will power down when the vehicle is shut off, and it's fairly inexpensive. However, if you're looking to quickly add a USB port to save from using one on the dash, easy addition. If you're looking to power a dashcam when the vehicle is parked, this is not the right one to buy. Read more

I was going to install a new garmin 67w dash cam in my dad's 01 Ford Excursion and was looking for an alternative to the $50 garmin obd cable. And a Google search got me to the scosche obd adapter cable. Installation was a breeze without splicing any wires. It works with the garmin dash cam perfectly. No errors or issues with current draw after the car is off. If you're on the fence about this just get it. For the price the quality and functionality, you can't beat this. Read more

This product does work, however it will not cut power until your battery falls below 12.3V (they do say this in the description). What did not know until I bought the product is that some cars will throw an error if the battery is constantly below 12.3V So it's worth checking whether your car has that "feature" before buying this product. Otherwise it's well made, and functions quite well. Read more

Using this to power a 15W phone charger on a 2023 Rivian R1S. Works great, charges fast for my application. Note that whether it's always on or switched power will depend solely on your vehicle's OBD2 port power, as does voltage. Check the specs on your vehicle to know whether this will meet your specific need. Read more

This product is always on. If so you will have battery drain if you use it on a camera etc. They should have a timer on it. It fine for charging a cell phone etc. Read more

I returned this product thinking it was a faulty device. But looks like my Rivian was constantly powering it. Good thing is it still has an OBD port open if you still need it. Read more
