Scripto Multi Purpose Aimn Flame II Lighter Random Color

So happy I found these again. My last Scripto Candlestick Lighter lasted almost 10 years. Love the hang hole that is built into the plastic handle. Has an adjustable flame. Striker and Fuel Button are easier to manage them others I've had. Yes, they are still a little stiff but their position on the handle makes it easier to use them together. Has a Fuel Level Window built into the handle so you can see when it's about to time replace it. These were out of stock when I went to buy them again, so I settled for a no brand name Pack of 3 Refillable Lighters . Those all lit to begin with and I thought the refillable was a nice feature. Doesn't do much good when 1 last around 10 times and died. Took the 2nd one out of the drawer, where I'd put the package, and it wouldn't light either. Pulled out the 3rd one and it won't light...what good does a refillable lighter do if it won't light. They still sparked and released fuel, but they just died. Plus the striker and fuel buttons were so heavily sprung, it almost took 2 hands to use. The Scripto model is so much easier to use. Read more

The safety features are kind of pain, but when it comes to lighters that seems to be the way it is. That being said, I got EXACTLY what I thought I was going to get, and for this price, I think the lighter is great. Finding a lime green one was one of the main reasons I chose this particular one. It's consistent, feels good in the hand, has a very usable flame, (although it is not torch-like, perhaps what some prefer), and again, is pretty much what you should expect for the money. I'd give it a 5/5 stars, but it's a pretty generic lighter. I certainly wouldn't go down to 3 stars for any reason. A very good, utilitarian lighter that does it's job. Get one! Read more
