A natural soft feel with a beachy look!

This is the best sea salt beachy type spray I’ve ever used. I’m a retired licensed cosmetologist so I’ve used a lot of different brands. It’s a little pricey but we’ll worth it. It lasts a good while. Just spray in wet hair and scrunch up or not. It’s like you’ve been on the beach, except with clean hair. It’s not too stiff or chunky feeling either. Still very soft. Works well for a lightweight, beachy look

My hair is naturally slightly wavy, but I typically straighten it because I don’t like the way it looks when I air dry. I suffer from a lot of frizz and I don’t get the definition in my waves that I desire. I tried this product in hopes I could get an effortless, more defined look to my waves, especially as I do not have the time to spend on my hair most mornings. I sprayed this product on damp hair after my shower, and scrunched. I then let air dry without brushing. I found it did help with adding definition to my waves. It left a little bit of crunchiness, which I was able to scrunch mostly out when my hair dried. I still experienced frizz, but that’s to be expected for me. I didn’t find that this product really had much of a scent, which I didn’t totally mind. Overall, I think it’s a quick way to get some texture and definition in wavy hair. It wasn’t life changing, but it makes for an easy routine and for me, helps to add definition to what is already there. Read more

Dry and Frizzy

The spray leaves my hair looking dry and frizzy. I tried it on both damp and dry hair. It has a unique smell, probably the coconut and kelp combination. When I used the spray on my dry hair it felt a little sticky vs wet. I might be able to use the product before curling to see if it will hold but it's definitely not my go to. Read more

Loose beachy waves.

My hair gets loose beachy waves, not super defined curls, just natural look which I prefer. Not a heavy smell. Happy with results. Read more

There is a Learning Curve, but Fun to Play With

My own hair is shoulder length and has a lot of wave, but not necessarily in the right places. I wanted to see if this product could add a little pizzazz to my hair when I want a casual look. This product takes a little experimentation to achieve the look you want. You can use it on either slightly damp hair or dry hair. I pulled the top layers of my hair up so that I could first work with the lower layers. I spritzed my lower layers, scrunched them with the sea-salt spray, and then let them air dry before combing. You could also use a diffuser while scrunching your hair. That would probably be faster. I ultimately did three different layers of my hair in the back and two layers in the front. I did end up with a beachy look...not that I was going to the beach! I just wanted to see how the look would be on me for a more casual appearance with my hair down. I ended up with quite a lot of curl, but my hair has a natural tendency to go that way. I could probably do with less scrunching. Everyone's hair is different. This product also seemed to give my hair a little more texture or body than I naturally have. My own hair is quite fine and thin, so this might also be a good product for other people who need a little more texture in their hair. The product is not sticky at all. I would not hesitate to recommend that others give this Surfchique Sea Salt Surf Spray a try. It worked well for me. 5 stars. Read more

ok sea salt spray

This was an ok product, I don't really have anything good or bad to say about it. It did the job but not that well of a job. I have 2c/3a curl type and it worked between washes but I don't think I will buy it again. However, just because it wasn't that good for me it could work well for you because everyone's hair reacts differently to hair products. But if you usually use the Lush Sea Salt Spray as I do, this one does not perform the same or work as well. Read more

Not sticky, does give waves

I have straight hair and thought this was going to be more like a hairspray, but it isnt. Isnt sticky at all. Made my hair slightly wavy, did a good few squirts and crinkled my hair with my hand as directed. Smells good. Read more

Okay, not great

I don't like the way this product feels kind of sticky. It doesn't leave my hair with a very pleasant texture and the effect isn't as noticeable as I'd have liked. Maybe this product would work better for someone else, but for my hair type (for reference, my hair is on the thicker side and wavy) it just wasn't a good fit. It's also pretty small for the price, so I wouldn't exactly call this a good value for the money. Read more
