I’ve been using Seachem Flourish Tabs in my planted nano tank, and they’ve made a noticeable difference. My rooted plants like crypts and swords started showing stronger growth and healthier color within a couple of weeks. They’re easy to use just press them into the substrate near the plant roots, and that’s it. What I like most is that they provide nutrients right where the plants need them, without clouding the water or causing algae issues. They’re especially helpful in tanks where liquid fertilizers might not be enough or could affect water parameters too much. Perfect for beginners or anyone looking to boost root growth. I replace them about every 2–3 months, and they continue to deliver solid results. Definitely recommend them as a part of any low- to medium-tech planted setup! Read more

These root tabs seem to work. I’m a bit neurotic about handling chemicals in general and don’t enjoy using lots of liquid supplements and potions in my tanks. These growth tabs seem to cover most of the basic nutrient requirement for common aquatic plants, though I do also add trace/micro nutrient supplement liquid once a week. Plants are all very healthy. I usually replace the tabs every 3-4 months. Very simple to use. Low maintenance Read more

I use a combination of products for my tank and still consider myself a planted tank novice. I have a home made CO2 bubbler and I add API liquid CO2 which I find to be very effective. I also use liquid fertilizers and micronutrients based on what the plants seem to be telling me they need. I have goldfish, platies, kuhli loaches, mystery and nerite snails, shrimp, and some mini plecos all in the same tank with A LOT of plants. Don't hate on my combo or quantity of fish. I've done my research and have a plan for issues if any outgrow the tank. I check my parameters and stay on top of things. You do you, and let's keep this about the product. Background is just to help give context to compare to your own situation. So . . . What I like and dislike are as follows. Like: Easy to use. Long acting. Plants are happier after I add them. Some literally grow a couple of inches the following day. Seems to help with root growth when other (liquid) products seem to make no impact. I've had >10 tablets in my bags vs. <10, so I got more than I paid for. No snail or shrimp issues. I'm calling a bluff on the copper complaints or concerns. Dislike: Careful with dosing. Nitrates can spike if you go heavy or even if you just follow package directions. This makes some of my fish a little unhappy and then I have to balance out doing aggressive water changes vs. CO2 and time. Price seems a little much for what you get. Need to supplement with other products since non-rooted plants don't benefit much from this product. That being said, my rooted plants seem to be more appreciative of this product vs. liquid so I use both. Seems to leave out some of the necessary nutrients so I dose with other products between use. I'm still having a hard time finding the sweet spot with number of and spacing of tabs to keep both fish and plants happy. Yes. They can get sucked up with your siphon during water changes. Careful with that. Hope that helps. Read more

I purchased 3 amazon sword plants for my aquarium, they started turning yellow right away. I purchased these tabs and immediately saw an improvement in the plants. Although i did lose the yellowed leaves, the plant started to flourish and get bigger and healthier. I LOVE these roit tabs, and YES they make a huge difference. The colir of my plants is vibrant. Its been a month and they are still going strong! No algea on the plants, i do still have spit algae on the glass, but my aquarium is set up in front of a window so i expect algae. Its not a lot though. The water stays clean and it doesnt bother my fish. Very happy with this product. Read more

The media could not be loaded. Update 2/5/2025: The plants are thriving! NO plant melt. Color on all the plants is awesome. Just one light that I bought here on Amazon. Nothing fancy. NO CO2. Not only that, but I have noticed SIGNIFICANT growth! I am SOLD on Flourish Tabs. Almost forgot: I use these tabs in my wife's 3 gallon nano tank and we have had the same results. It's too soon to tell how the plants will respond to this food. I just planted them with these tablets. I can tell you that the tablets didn't dissolve while I was planting the plants with them. The tablets have not affected the water quality at all. The water is crystal clear. What I will do is update this review in a few weeks to document my results. The pics show what the plants look like at start up a couple of days ago. Read more

works exactly how it should, I have a dirted tank but occasionally I like to move things around and I like to re-supplement the soil when I plant anything new. I get these about once a year to help with that, and I have great success. They’re obviously more expensive than other competitors but they’re also the leading tabs on the market. Read more

a bit high in nitrogen and doesn't have enough strongly chelated iron ie iron edta . so if you gh is above 70ppm its useless for iron supplementation. otherwise it is a good general purpose fert. lasts about 3 weeks in tank Read more
