Disappointed but company honored warranty
Product malfunction with normal use 33 days after purchase, 3 days past Amazon’s return policy as it turns out. All data lost! Since Seagate will only honor under warranty they need the old one to replace it. So much for securing PII. Will work but don’t count on it as your only option for your data. Update: Seagate is replacing under warranty (up to 1 year from purchase) and have an option to attempt to restore my data. They also had PII plan for data so upgrading to 4 stars for service. Ironically, Seagate told me to make sure I don’t trust any one device for back up, “Always back up your back up.” Read more

The box specifies PC compatibility but it works for Mac too. You will need to format it for use with Mac. Read more
