This is a pretty large truck. Easy to use, goes through all types of terrain, battery life could be better. The vehicle body broke off the main body pretty fast but the main block of the body still ran for a long time after, not fun looking anymore but still getting around! Read more

The media could not be loaded. This Amphibious 8WD RC vehicle delivers impressive speed and powerful driving capabilities. It features a robust motor and rechargeable battery for high-speed performance on both land and water, offering versatile and exciting remote-controlled experiences. The motors are tight & strong, meaning there seems to be zero lag when driving this 8 wheel vehicle around. And it's fast! However it does bottom out easily but I imagine that's mainly because of its construction so that it can be an amphibious vehicle too. Still, once you get one of its front tires on an obstacle, it will conquer it! You can see in the video I uploaded along with this review what I mean. If going straight head-on with the obstacle it bottoms out but as soon as I get just one tire on the obstacle, the truck climbs over the obstacle, quite easily. I haven't tried this 8WD in water yet but I'm convinced it will do the job with no problems. This Amphibious 8WD RC vehicle is easy to drive. It basically has forward/backward and left/right controls. It doesn't behave like other RC cars when it comes to turning left and right. No matter if you're driving it forward or backward when you click the left or right control it stops moving in the forward or backward direction and then performs its turn. It doesn't drift. The 8WD appears to stop then turn. But the latency of this function is almost simultaneous. There's a little getting used to it... but once you do, this 8WD RC truck is a lot of fun! And did I already mention that it's fast? It's fast! With strong off-road performance, it conquers rough terrain and obstacles, showcasing an impressive spin function for acrobatic maneuvers. The rugged chassis, high-impact-resistant materials, seesaw-style suspension, and flexible big tires ensure stable performance in challenging driving environments. It comes with two rechargeable batteries and USB charger for the batteries. Each battery seem to last around 25-30 minutes. So, you have both batteries charged up, you can get close to an hour of play time out of them. Just make sure you don't run out of batteries if you have it in the middle of a lake. All in all, this Amphibious 8WD RC vehicle is a lot of fun for being so basic. For the close to the $50 (at time of this writing) price range, it would have been nice if they at least added headlights and tail lights to the rather detailed and good looking truck body. Especially for playing at night time, headlights and taillights would have been useful. So, this Amphibious 8WD RC truck is no bells and whistles... but... is fast, strong and fun! Read more

We haven't tried it in water yet, just outside, and it does go over all the bumps. The tires seem grippy too. When inside on wood, you can tell the control of it. As soon as I stop, the tires stop and the car stops moving. No sliding or anything, it just stops. It's a little loud, but that's the motors. The controller isn't a joystick, just buttons on it you press for the directions. The kids like it and have some fun with it. Can't wait to try it out in the water. It came with a battery inside the car (not connected) and one outside of it. A USB to the RC Car battery cable to charge the batteries, a screwdriver to open the battery compartment for the car and remote too. The remote takes 2 AA batteries (not included) and you need a wall power brick to plug the USB cable into. Read more

First, this is a toy, not a hobby grade RC vehicle. That said, it is lots of fun! The car feels substantial and seems durable. It does not have any suspension, and turning is accomplished by having one set of wheels stop or move in the opposite direction of the turn. If you hold the turn and forward/back buttons the one set of wheels stops. If you hold just the turn button the wheels on each side turn in opposite directions (manufacturer calls this the Spin Function). I took it outside for a test run. There is no variable speed. The "throttle" is either on or off. The truck accelerates quickly to a top speed of roughly 5 MPH. I operated the truck on concrete and grass surfaces. It performed best on concrete - where you can use the turn and forward/back button to steer while the vehicle is moving. When using on grass the truck sometimes got stuck if I tried to use both buttons. Better to turn using the Spin Function while the vehicle is stationary. The vehicle is described as amphibious, and appears to be water-tight. I did not try this feature but I did open the battery compartment to confirm there is indeed a seal that looks like it could keep water from entering. The truck comes with two batteries which will allow lots of play time. As for charging, be sure NOT to use a USB power adapter with quick charging capabilities (noted in the instructions). Also, the cable plug will turn red when the battery is charging and back to clear when charging is complete. This is not noted in the instructions. It is worth looking at the instructions for other battery limitations. So overall I would recommend the vehicle as a toy that puts a smile on your face rather than a hobby grade RC. I had fun! The media could not be loaded. My kids LOVE this thing and I have fun driving it too. It's nearly unstoppable. It climbs the curb to my hard, then works it way through the thick, dead grass on about a 20% grade as if it were flat. I haven't had a chance to take it to the pond to see how it floats, but I plan to do that when the weather changes soon. It's faster than I expected it to be, but the motor sounds very strong. It's kind of loud, but the sound just points to how strong it is. It is a very cool addition to my RC collection. Read more
