I was hoping the patches would be larger than they actually are, because of the money I spent on them. However, if they perform as well as they say, they are worth it. They are very sticky, but if you aren't very good with fiddly things, taking the backing off of these is no easy feat. I had no problem with it, but they are not designed for easy removal. So far, it has stuck to the jacket, but I have yet to put it through the wash. I will update after washing the jacket in a few hours time. It does have a sort of carbon fiber look about it, and it does mostly match the gloss of the jacket. It's good enough that I won't be worried about it not matching or feathers coming out any more. I will report on the functionality once it is washed, too. Size wise, they are small, the largest maybe being 2 inches oval. But since they are small, they are light. I've had a small tear in the end of 1 sleeve on my nylon jacket for over a year. I was thinking I would have to buy a new jacket but fortunately I found this product. It blends in just about perfect. Even knowing that it is there I don't notice it unless I'm specifically looking for it. It is sticking great, especially for the spot I installed it. It wrinkles with the rest of the sleeve and is durable enough where my teeth haven't torn it like I did with the nylon. My wife's winter jacket had three small tears in it. This kit worked great! They come in various sizes which was what I needed to repair her coat. One, as you can see, was really a tiny tear, and the smallest patch was perfect so it wouldn't spread. I just poked the stuffing back in, kept the jacket as flat as possible, peeled off the back and stuck them on. Honestly, you really have to look for the patches on her coat in order to see them. The color match for this olive green was so close. The only tiny little trouble my big hands had was to peel off the back in order to stick them on. Their adhesive is really terrific!
