Delivers good cooling for smaller rooms. I'd say it would have a hard time cooling 350sf in extremely hot weather. It is pretty compact easy to move and install. Window kit and condensate hose are included. The design with output being on the front instead of the top of the unit makes a big difference in effective cooling in my opinion. And you can manually adjust left and right and up/down with the basic louver design. Controls are simple along with the led display. The remote functions as it should and I'd say this has a normal working noise level. If you have small windows or slider type windows where in window just won't fit this is solid alternative. I found this SereneLife 8000 BTU (5000 DOE/SACC) to be a solid choice for small spaces, even in a hot and humid environment like where I live. A portable AC like this SereneLife model will cool a space of approximately 150-250 square feet. The hotter and more humid the conditions, the lower on that range you should expect for maximum performance. Personally, I've been using this unit in a small spare bedroom that faces east, where mornings and afternoons get especially warm. Setup was fast and consisted of opening my window, inserting the window adapter, and connecting the hose from the AC unit to the window adapter. Depending on your window frame dimensions, you may need to trim the sliding extension panel for a proper fit. I do wish the pre-cut hole on the main panel wasn't so close to the extreme edge, which would have given more flexibility during installation. This unit also has quality caster wheels, making moving it on hard floors and low-pile carpet very smooth. The control panel (and remote) has an easy-to-understand layout, making it very simple to use. It also comes with a dehumidifier and fan mode. The dehumidifier mode works adequately but not as effectively as my dedicated dehumidifier. The fan does a good job of moving air. Just be aware that in fan mode, the air won't exhaust out the hose; rather, the unit pushes air around similar to how a regular fan works. The unit performed well in my spare 150-square-foot room. Under lower heat loads (like in the fall), it cooled the room quickly and worked flawlessly. Under full load (summer), its performance was lower, but it still managed to keep the room cool provided we kept the door shut. Noise is lower on sleep mode as the fan speed is reduced, but the compressor is still going to run at full power. Energy-wise, it uses about 900W, which is a fairly high energy draw for the cooling performance of this unit, though within the average range for budget portable ACs. We put this in a back room where the central A/C doesn’t reach since we closed it off, and it made a huge difference. Hookup was pretty easy using the window kit, and once we turned it on it cooled the whole space way faster than I expected. It doesn’t take up much room, and the remote makes it easy to tweak the temp without walking over to it. We’ve also run it on fan/dehumidify on sticky days and it keeps the room way more comfortable.
