I have found that this is a perfect air purifier for placing up and against a wall. The air intake and filter is on the front panel and the output is on the top. So I can set it right up against the wall or a piece of furniture. I have one that has the air intake in the back which to me was a poor design since I had to either face the ugly rear side outward and have all the buttons upside down when looking from above or move it out from the wall. This looks great and is fully exposed to the rest of the room to pull in as much air as possible. And it really works. I have it running in auto all the time. When I extinguish one of my candles it takes only a few seconds for the smoke to travel to the purifier and kick it into high gear. It also happens when I cook too. Even if I don’t burn something on the stove it clears out the smells of food really well. There’s no lingering dinner aroma the next morning when I come downstairs. We have pets and it definitely helps cut down on dust from the dander. It’s so quiet when it on that I didn’t notice that I hadn’t plugged it back in after moving around some furniture. I did, however, notice that I had so much dust on my hard surfaces by the end of the week that I had a new appreciation for what it was accomplishing. This one connects to wifi and I can operate from anywhere. I don’t often use that feature when I’m at home, but I always use it when we’re out with friends with plans to come back to our place afterwards.
