I like this yoga mat as a portable mat since it is thinner than my other one and rolls up more compact. It is a little wider than most yoga mats, which is a bonus. The surface is a textured foam and feels nice on my hands and underfoot. It seems to be a little coated or at least closed cell which makes it easy to wipe down. For some yoga, when I’m doing balances and stuff like that, I want a mat that is a bit more dense because it is better for maintaining my balance. This mat is good for that.
